Chapter 5

Y/n Pov: 

I woke up, shrouded in darkness, lying in a very comfortable bed. I felt something very cold cuddled up against me. I look up and who do I see, Carlisle. He was cuddled up against me with his arms wrapped around my waist rubbing my back and staring into my eyes.  " I'm glad you're awake now."  He said kissing my forehead. Luckily it was dark and he couldn't see my crimson red face. My heart was beating 100 Mph and I knew he could hear it. The pain in my stomach had subsided, so I slowly sat up against the headboard. " Wait, a minute, how did I get here"  I asked groggily while stretching. Carlisle sat up beside me and cut on the lamp beside the bed.  " Well you were unconscious for several days and your wound healed enough for you to go home, so I volunteered to bring you here in case something happens and you need immediate medical attention."  He smiled a sweet smile, one that made my heart pound out of my chest. " Hey, Carlisle?" I asked, looking him in the eyes. " Yes?" he said wrapping his arm around my waist and cuddling up to me. " I just wanted to thank you for everything, and I wanted to confess that I have feelings for you." 

He chuckled deeply. " Well, I kind of already knew that. Someone spilled the beans while you were unconscious." You covered your face with your hands. ' Come on Bella, really? '  He slowly uncovered my face and put one of his hands on my face.  " Y/n,"  He said,  " from the moment I saw you, I knew I was going to love you. Your scent stood out to me in a way I didn't know it could. I think that was a sign that you are my soulmate, and we are meant to be together."  Before I knew it, I had crashed my lips against Carlisle's in a passionate kiss. Sparks were flying in my mind as  he grabbed my face, deepening the kiss. I had to pull away to catch my breath, but I wish I didn't breathe. He was so perfect, and now I knew, that he loved me too, and that we could be happy together. I snuggled into his chest and wrapped my arms around him. He instantly snuggled back and kissed the top of my head. We laid like that until I fell asleep. When I woke up,  Carlisle was holding me in place with one hand, and reading a book with the other.  

" What'cha readin'"  I asked, looking over his shoulder and reading the book. " It's a book called nunya."  " Ooh, what's it about?" I asked intrigued. " Nunya business." He said closing the book, and putting it on the bedside table. " Oh, I see." I said sitting up. " Looks like i'm going to have to take it from you, huh?" I said quickly reaching over him and grabbing the book. " Hey!" He said reaching for the book, but I pulled it back. " Nope, come and get it." A light turned on in his head as he grabbed my wrists and pinned me down on the bed. " Can I have my book back, hun?" He whispered leaning into my ear. " Sure, Take it " I said. He let go of me and I slowly sat up. " Thank you, hun." He said giving me a peck on the lips. " Your welcome " I mumbled. He got up and grabbed my hand. " Come on, hun. It's a lovely day outside, let's go for a walk." I smiled and took his hand. " Sure I would love to." As we walked out the door I froze in fear. It was him. I quickly hid behind Carlisle. " What is it Y/n, what's wrong."  You pointed toward the man in the woods. " It's him, Carlisle. It's the man who stabbed me." I saw his face turn stone hard with rage and a guttural growl came from his mouth. ' Oh, no' I thought. ' He's going to get ripped apart'
