Chapter 2

Carlisle Pov

I slowly walked up to her. " Sorry I left in such a hurry. I needed to sort some things out with Edward." I said looking down at the floor. I look up and she gives me a friendly smile, making my stomach do a somersault. " It's alright. I had an outburst earlier, too." I gave her a small smile and sat down on the couch. Y/n sits beside me and her scent is burning in my throat, I felt like I needed to be with her all the time. She rubs the back of her neck, then stands up. " Well, I should head back to Charlie's before he gives me one of his fatherly rants, Even though i'm probably going to get one anyway for being gone all night." 

Suddenly her phone starts ringing with the ringtone.  ' Give it to me daddy, that's what she keeps screaming, Give it to me daddy, she loves the way I beat it.'  She quickly throws her phone at the wall, shattering it, then runs out of the house. Emmet is howling with laughter at this point and the others and I are shocked she had that kind of ringtone. We look at each other and Alice busts out laughing, along with Edward and Esme.  Jasper and I just stood there shocked, Until I decided to retreat to my room to get some paperwork done, quietly laughing to myself.

Y/n Pov: 

My ringtone betrayed me. I was getting ready to leave because I knew Charlie was going to get worried and call me, but I thought I had more time. I ran until I came to an opening beside a beautiful river. I sat down and pulled my knees to my chest trying to hide my face that was now red with embarrassment. I felt a cold breeze rush beside me, causing me to look up. To my surprise, Carlisle was sitting beside me. I go to get up, but he gently grabs my hand and pulls me back down. " I am very sorry about my ringtone, and smashing my phone against my wall. My friend put the ringtone on it and I didn't notice until it started to ring today." I say, lying through my teeth. He seemed to believe it because he chuckled and placed a reassuring hand on my shoulder, but quickly removed it.

 " It's alright.  It was actually quite amusing to the others and myself." My face turned red hot and I buried my head in my hands. He stands up and extends his hand for you to take. I reluctantly take his hand and I see him tense up a bit. We head back to the house and everyone is staring at us. Alice has a wide smile plastered across her face, making me a bit confused. Edward gives Carlisle a thumbs up to which he nods, and we walk back over to the couch sitting back down. " I wanted to apologize for my ringtone. My friend thought it would be funny to change my ringtone without my knowledge."  Alice skips up to me and takes my hands in hers. " It's alright. It was actually quite funny. If Emmet could cry from laughter, he would have." This makes me smile a bit. Until a sudden knock at the door startles me. Carlisle gets up to open the door, and who it was, shocked me. " Y/n? " She said peering into the doorway.  " Bella? " I said standing up from the couch, pure shock written all over my face.
