I chat with Calvin and Kaleb while we wait for the girls. Arynn was like a star up there. I don't get to see her perform as much anymore since I moved. I knew I had to be here for this one. I left this morning and drove all day to get here. I got in about an hour before the show.

"So, what's the deal with you and Arynn?" Calvin says.

"Woah, Cal." Kaleb almost shouts. "I thought we said we weren't going to ask?"

"Yeah well, I don't like to beat around the bush." Calvin shrugs.

I chuckle. "It's okay. And I don't know what you mean by that Cal."

Calvin deadpans. "Come on, bro. Don't play dumb. Are you interested in her or not?"

"Arynn doesn't want to be in a relationship right now." I say. Kaleb scoffs with a smile on his face. Before Calvin can say anything, the girls are walking up. I hope they didn't hear much. But excellent timing nonetheless because I didn't know what else to say to them. Yes, of course, I'm interested in Arynn. I'd be an idiot not to be. But that doesn't mean anything. Why would they bring it up? Has she said something? No, right? I mean after the night of the Halloween party I haven't said anything like that to her.

Calvin lets out a heavy sigh and we all start walking to the parking lot.

"You're riding with me, Big Head." I say grabbing Arynn before she can run off with Isla.

"Okay Ben Ben." She says in a singsong voice as she skips to my car. I hate when she calls me that and she knows it, so she uses it all the time. But I love the way she smiles at me when she says it. We get into the car and buckle up; Arynn turns towards me.

"So how long are you here for?" She asks.

"The entirety of break. Why? Are you trying to get rid of me already?" I say chuckling.

"No. Quite the opposite. I'm trying to see how much time we can spend together. I want to see what my options are. I assume you're staying with Reid?" She's a planner. I nod because I know she's not done.

"Okay, so I'm requesting that, other than time you spend with your family, you spend at least half of that remaining time with me. And, of course, the other half with Reid." She states.

"I more friends than just the two of you." I don't really, none that I want to see. I just like messing with her. "What if I have plans with someone other than you two?"

"Take it out of Reid's time. I said at least a week." What is this a business deal?

"Am I supposed to shake your hand and say deal now?" I laugh. She looks at me as serious as can be and says.

"What a stupid question, Bennett. Of course, you have to." She lifts her hand. I indulge her because I always do. I'll be rewarded with one her smiles. I shake her hand.

"Deal." She smiles and before I can say anything else her phone buzzes and she looks down. She gasps softly and quickly types back and locks her phone. It buzzes a few more times but she ignores it.

"What is it?" I ask, brow furrowed.

She scoffs. "Oh, nothing. But we should probably get going to the restaurant." She is a great actress but a terrible liar.

"Yeah right. What was it?" I say as I start pulling out of the parking space.

"It was just the group chat." Oh, now I need to know what it is.

"What did they say?" She doesn't say anything. "Arynn, you should just tell me. We both know you're going to end up telling me anyway, so why waste time?"
