It was the year 2283. In the 21st century, the world was thrown into disarray due to the terrible tragedy that befell it completely. It was disintegrated and compartments were formed at various places. Subsequently, the whole world got trapped in a unique manner as various social and physical regions were disconnected and entangled in chaos. After that, it began to develop in a peculiar way. Because the environment was badly damaged, the world was ruined.

In the 22nd century, humanity started uniting again and gradually an empire started to be established. A prophet named Nomeko prophesied that to make the world reestablish itself and be safe, 9 elements called Destons had to be found. Some organizations were formed that believed in that prophecy and wanted to find those elements. But it was even difficult to think what could be those elements. If somebody found any element he/she would be able to utilize it to guide the world. The Destons would be attracted by those trying to find them with complete dedication, belief, and purity. The organizations that started finding such types of people were called Investigators and the people were called Searchers.

By the end of the 22nd century, simulated realities were begun to be used at various places. Since no Searcher was able to succeed in his/her aim, it was assumed that those elements might not be present in the real world. It was looking like nature was trapped inside a net made by humans and wanted a path that would free it and let it have a new beginning with the human world. But to free it, no Searcher was able to succeed by going that deep.

By the middle of the 23rd century, two more new inventions were done- Transitor and Data Model Reality Locator (DMRL). Through the Transitor it was possible to transit to parallel realities. With the help of the Data Model Reality Locator, on the basis of a lot of statistical information and logical bases, people could cast themselves into the corresponding atmosphere. DMRL could be used to make people travel into the projection of the past. But it depended on how much total resources were impactful, i.e., how many resources were available to learn about the past.

In some special versions of DMRLs, additional features were included. Many things could be known from indirect methods such as mathematical modeling, the likelihood of an event, primary assumptions, and logical analysis of various resources like movies, games, or books made on the basis of ancient facts. In some versions, imagination adapters were included, which allowed the Searchers to explore new/hidden ideas, knowledge, etc. using their imagination. The databases of DMRLs were also regularly updated.

In DMRLs, it was not necessary that interaction could be done with everything with complete clarity, such as knowing everything about a person or finding out the smallest details or building the actual projection of something. Staying in DMRLs was like seeing dreams, the atmosphere was prepared on the basis of as much information as was available. But Searchers could develop various things in the atmosphere using imagination adapters and bring much change in that reality. Any particular region or reality of DMRL was called a projectory.
