LYE: 5 ~ Engagement Party

Nadine's Pov
       I am wearing a long gown, color white. A plain one. Bi-nun ang hair with unting curls. Pouch and heels na white and make-up not too dark and light...it's a simple make-up. Sinundo ako ni Joseph at tahimik kaming pumunta sa event.

I smiled bitterely as a welcome to the visitors. Nakita ko rin sila Yassi kaya sa kanila ako dumiretsiyo.

"Woaw! You look so stunning beautiful, Nadine." bati ni Yassi.

"I agree I like the plain one, like this." sabi naman ni Rose.

I smiled, hinanap ko si James sa paligid pero si Jack at Shey lang ang nakita ko na related to him, papalapit sila dito.

"Oh Ate, pupunta yun! Don't worry." sabi ni Jack.

My brows gets up. Such a mind reader.

Ang sakit na ng paa ko T___T kasi naman si Joseph dinadala ako kung saan-saan. Tss! Tas yung mga business partners nila Dad din. Aish! Umupo muna ako sa mga upuan dun. Ang theme ngayun ay so classy. Grabe. Hinimas ko yung foot ko na masakit. Ouch! Nahawakan ko yung bandang may sugat :'(

"Are you okay?" tanong nung lalaki.

His voice is so familiar. Could it be? Inangat ko yung ulo ko and there! I saw James has a worried face and he's so stunning. Wow! He's looking good in his tuxedo.

"J---james? You came." I hug him tight and he hug back.

"Nadine you look..."

"Ugly? I know right." sabi ko.

"No you look beautiful just the way I always see." sabi niya.

"Oh hayme." I pinch his nose and kiss his lips.

I don't care what will people say, all I care is we're together again.

"Nadine..." sabi ni Joseph.

Uh-oh! James punched Joseph.

"James! Joseph!" sigaw ko.

Nagsuntukan kasi sila.

"Please stop! Hey cut it out!....JOSEPH!" sigaw ko.

Susuntukin na sana ni Joseph si James but I stopped him. Their Tuxedos has blood on it. James was wiping his lower lip because it has a blood on it.

"What's going on here!?" Dad asked.

Oh no! I'm dead!

"Na--nothing...It's..just.." ahh! I can't finish any sentence.

"You!! Why are you here!?" turo ni Dad kay James.

I take James' side and make Dad stop but he slapped me instead of listening.

"Nadine!!"

"Dong!!"

James try to make me stand but my legs don't want to.

"How could you shout on me!? I'm your own father! Do what I say!?" sigaw ni Dad sa akin.

I hold James' shoulder to try to stand and talk to Dad.

"Dad...I made my own choice! I'm not----"

*pak*

"H'wag ka nang sumagot!?" sigaw ni Dad sa akin.

I held my red cheeks and ran away. I directly go to my own car and cry. Why can't I just do my own choice? I'm not their toy or so whatever called. I'm their Daughter! Argh! I felt someone opened the other door. And I felt his presence.

"Nadine..."

"James? Do you love me?" I asked.

Kumunot yung noo niya.

"Of course I do, why?" he held my cheeks and look at my eyes.

"Then...then...take me away from here." sabi ko.

He smiled weakly and then kissed me within 10 seconds.

"James!!! Pwede pabili ng ano...." nakakahiya naman kasi eh >_< bakit ngayun pa?

"Ng ano?" tanong niya sa labas ng pinto ng c.r.

"Ng you know? For girls? Please?" sabi ko.

"Okaaay." sabi niya.

Lumabas na siya at narinig ko yung kotse niya humarurut. Andito kasi kami sa Cavite. Malapit lang kila Lola Ria...sabi niya eh. Pero hindi alam ni Lola Ria na andito kami sa Cavite.

James' Pov
Mini mini minie mo. Anu ba naman kasi yan eh! Hindi ko alam kung ano ang bibilhin ko. Ano nga ulit tawag dun? Aish nakalimutan ko na. Dinial ko yung number ni Nadine.

"Hello?"

"Ano nga ba ulit yung kailangan mo?"

"Ah...uhm..magpa-tulong ka sa mga staff siyan sa convinient store...sabihin mo....whisper"

Whisper? Diba bulong yun?

"Whisper? Aish...wait."

Hindi ko binaba yung tawag at lumapit sa babaeng staff.

"Miss where's the whisper here? My girlfriend needs it." sabi ko sa staff.

Napatulala siya. Yeah, yeah. Sa'n ba kasi yung whisper na yun?

"A..ah...wait sir...come." sabi niya.

Sumunod ako at dinala niya ako sa section ng mga...? /O___O\ Napatakip na lang ako ng mga mata. Napkin!?

"Eto po yung mga whisper sir." turo niya at umalis na.

Lumapit ako dun at binalik ang phone sa tenga.

"Andito na ako sa section ng mga whisper, you didn't say that it was a brand of napkin!?" napasigaw ako.

Napatingin yung mga tao sa akin kaya humingi ako ng tawad.

"Sorry Hayme, hehe. Sige yung with wings ha? Babye!"

Then she hunged up. With wings? Ibon na hangin ba ang hinahanap niya? Aish kahit ano na nga lang. Kinuha ko lahat ng klase ng whisper. Hindi ko naman alam eh!

After that I drove off to that store. Such a humiliating scene! Tsk!

Hawak ko na yung plastic na puro napkins. Seriously and daaaaaami! Aw, such a sweet guy :)
