"what time is it? SHOWTIMEE" i hear a voice shout from outside the tent
"like i said.." another voice chuckles
i have almost finished unpacking my bag when five loud loud loud men waltz into the tent, who had supposedly just been to the bar
"ooo who are you?" i hear a french voice ask, lafayette
"whos this kid?" i hear a deep voice add, hercules mulligan
"whats she gonna do?" a voice laughs, i hear the voice i just cant see where it's coming from- hamilton "oh wait- SHE?! what's a girl doing here?!"
"oh uh-" i began "hi i'm y/n washington" i say awkwardly
"WASHINGTON" a small man pushes the others out the way "sorry uh i mean- washington? as in the general?"
i laugh "yeah, why?"
"alexander here loves general washington" the man with freckles who i assume to be john laurens smirks
"is that so?" i chuckle
alexander hits the man on the arm "no i do not, john! i simply admire his leadership skills. that is all." he says, trying to remain calm "WHY ARE ALL OF YOU LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT" i look around the room to see the men giving him an unconvinced look
"anyway it's a pleasure to meet you, mademoiselle y/n" the tall french man, lafayette says. god he was handsome. i mentally smacked myself. i'd been here for two seconds i can't be thinking things like this already.
"i assume you're staying with us?" hercules asks, smirking
"indeeed i am"
it's silent for a minute, all of us thinking of what to add to the conversation
"oh gosh how rude of us we completely forgot to introduce ourselves!" laurens frantically says as i hide the slip of paper my father gave me up my sleeve "my name is john laurens" he smiles
"alexander hamilton"
"hercules mulligan"
"aaron burr"
they all shake my hand
"marie-joseph paul yves roch gilbert du motier de lafayette, marquis de lafayette" the french man offers his hand for me to shake "oh but uh just call me lafayette" he adds and i shake his hand, laughing
"well boys i best be going back to my tent its getting dark" burr "says see you around y/n" he smiles
"bye burr" we all say in unison
