What We Used To Be. {Kanamafu, Ruikasa}

chapter 10 : leo/need's truth.

Shiho pov :

As always, Leo/need is fighting about siblings again because Saki mentioned Toya. How boring.

"My big brothers are the best, Ichika! You're just jealous because you don't have any siblings! Shiho, back up please."

That was my cue to talk about her siblings being the 'best ever.' This annoys me because I don't really like my sister, Shizuku. She's so laid back!

"Saki's siblings are the best because they are much better than what ever you have.."

Saki looked at me angrily, what did I do? I was just helping out.

"You call that---?" Saki tried to tell me. That was until Honami interrupted,

"Can we stop fighting over stupid things?! We're a band, also childhood friends! Let's just get back to practicing."

Saki apologized to Ichika and everything went back to normal.

I wonder what got into Saki, she used to be so sweet. So kind and caring like Honami.

I think it was because if her siblings, Tsukasa and Toya.

Tsukasa has always been an honor student, he's a senior year now. I think Saki has changed, because he hasn't really got time for her anymore. And Toya is apparently always sick, except for exams or something.

"Shiho, you don't look so good.. And you weren't playing.. Are you okay?"

Honami asked me, her concern meant lots to me.

"Yeah, just thinking about something.. Let's try again from the top!"

I tried to cover up my thoughts, I sounded a lot like Saki's brother in middle school when we went to her house. He must've changed a lot.

"Saki, just a question." I asked, she looked up at me.

"Can we go to your house after practice? Like we used to do when we were younger!"

She nodded, a smile on her face. I was happy too, I didn't look it. But on the inside, I felt overjoyed.

When we got to Saki's house, we were greeted by Toya. Saki called out to Tsukasa,

"Big brother! I'm home and I brought my bandmates!" There was silence, then we heard laughing.

Saki turned to us,

"I can't tell if he's studying or talking to someone.." She said, a blank expression on her face.

"Let's go spy on him!" Ichika whispered, we all agreed and went over to his bedroom. Climbing the stairs so he wouldn't see us,

"Rui, this question.. It doesn't make sense."

Saki asked us who this 'Rui' was, of course none of us never heard that name before.

"Goodnight! See you tomorrow!"

He looked down the stairs, directly at us.

"Saki, I told you to never spy on me again! Especially when I'm studying with a friend!"

Honami giggled a little by accident.

"I'm sorry but the way you ended the call! It sounds more l-like, b-boyf-friend! Hahahaha!"

Tsukasa showed a salty face, making Honami stop laughing.

Saki said bye to us at the door, just a couple minutes later we were still walking away (not far) and heard yelling. It was faint but I could hear it.

"Saki! I told you to never invite and spy on me when I'm busy!" Tsukasa yelled, it wasn't very faint. But Ichika told me to translate as her eyes aren't very good.

"At least I didn't sell my soul for good grades! I actually have a personality!" Saki yelled back, it sounded like Toya was trying to make them stop.

"Great! Now everyone's calling me a robot! Thanks alot Saki!"

It went silent, then we heard a door slam shut. We ran away.

I've never really felt this bad for Saki in my life.
