What We Used To Be. {Kanamafu, Ruikasa}

chapter 11 : walking home together.

Mafuyu pov :

I walked into class, my teacher said it was an exam and expected  me to get a 98%. It was such a high expectation for me, it was probably because my results have been getting low because of stress.

I silently got my pencil case out my bag, I looked at a picture of me and Rui as kids. I whispered to it,

"Big sis will make you proud!"

The exam started, it was a english one. It was too easy, that's why I like it.

I finished early, I asked to go to the bathroom. Once I got in there, I looked at the picture again.

"Where did it all go wrong? We used to be so happy.."

Emu jumped out of the first cubicle, screaming.

"Wonderhoy Mafuyu-senpai~☆! Why are you talking to a picture of you and---"

She gasped louder than when she yelled,

"Are you and Rui-kun, dating?"

I was shocked, telling her we were siblings that I'm older by a few months.

Emu surprisingly understanded, she apologised for jumping to conclusions and ran out of the bathroom.

I went to my class, sitting back down. Putting the picture in my cardigan pocket, I smiled softly.

Rui pov :

I went to miya girls after school to pick mafuyu up with Tsukasa ; he was getting Saki.

Mafuyu walked up to me, smiling for once in a while.

"Rui, y'know I can always come get you. Also, I bumped into Emu-chan today."

She looked at Tsukasa, a emotionless expression.

"So you're the person Rui is talking about at the dinner table.."

She had a mischievous smile, kind of like mine. That's when she saw Saki, she smiled brightly.

"Saki-chan! I'll see you tomorrow!"

She patted her on the head, Saki hugged her.

"Cya as well! Oh, wait! Your little bro is here! We're walking home together! Yay~☆!"

She held Tsukasa's hand, I could tell they were opposites. But it didn't bother me, we started to walk.

Mafuyu and Saki seemed happy together ; I know mafuyu is faking it. She's never really happy, but I still wonder why she smiled directly at me. She would never!

Tsukasa looked at me,

"Mafuyu, that's your sister's name?"

I nodded in shock he would ask that.

"It's pretty, older or younger?"

I took me a while since I've always been called older than her so I've forgotten who is older. Then I struck me.

"Mafuyus older by a few months. Our height difference makes everyone confused."

I smiled at him. He had a serious face on.

We went our separate ways, Mafu looked at me.

"I think I'm gonna pass my english exam, I'll make you proud lil bro!"

She genuinely seemed happy, i was glad.

"Mafu, I've got a question."

She looked at me saying 'mn?'

"Nevermind. I'll ask mum."
