As the night went on so did Dio's sanity. The hybrid human/animal creatures kept staring at the poor girl. One of them started to laugh, and Dio spoke.
"Consider this Miss." Dio held up the rose to her. "Behold this lovely rose. You Miss, are like this rose. Fresh and young. Consider it a mirror of youth. Once this rose blooms it will wither away. Such a pity.. Is it not?" Dio asked Paco's sister. She just stared at him with a brave face.
Shelby smiled at her. 'You go girl!' Shelby thought. Then the dog human thing started to paint.
"What a wonderful age, sixteen! So pure and innocent!" It said, Shelby gagged and she quickly sat up from the couch, Dio and her were laying on. Dio didn't like that she moved from him. "Brimming with delicious energy isn't she. Lord Dio!?"
"Ah hell no!! I will throw your ass out the fucking window!! That's a child!!" Shelby yelled at the dog/human.
"You're also very lovely!! What are you?? 20?" The dog thing asked. Shelby gagged again. Dio glared at the hybrid with angry eyes, he then kicked the thing to the ground and killed it.
Shelby held her hands up in defense and she was about to walk out the room but Dio grabbed onto her wrist. "The Ill-mannered are unworthy of life." Dio glared down at the dog-human.
"...Bro, I swear all the time. What are you talking about, sir?" Shelby laughed nervously. Dio glared at Shelby as if saying 'You know what I mean.'
"So, miss.." Dio started to talk to Poco's sister. "I offer you a choice. I can make you young and beautiful for all eternity. However, I am not one to force affection. You are free to choose your own destiny."
"Hey! What about me!? Why don't I get a choice!?" Shelby frowns seeing she didn't get a choice in marriage or being a vampire. Dio chose to ignore Shelby.
"Devil." Poco's sister muttered. Dio hummed and he got closer to her.
"What? I couldn't quite hear." Dio smirked at her.
Shelby rolled her eyes. "Hoe."
The girl then slapped Dio when he got too close. Shelby smiled. "Hell, yeah!! You go girl!!"
"You damned devil! Curse you forever!" She yelled at Dio.
Dio smiled while some blood dripped from his lips and he licked the blood from them. While the rose he was holding withered. Shelby blushed seeing that happen in real time. 'Don't simp. Don't simp. DON'T simp-' Shelby panicked.
Dio dropped the rose and he pulled Shelby to the door with him. Poco's sister then looked up seeing a creature ready to eat her. "May I introduce you to my companion. Since I'm not to your liking, I wish you enjoy your time with him, Farwell." Dio pulled Shelby with him.
Shelby then yelled to the girl. "I promise you will be okay! Just evade him for a little bit!!" Dio shut the door and he pulled Shelby to the balcony with him to look at the stars.
Shelby and Dio sat in silence for a bit and Shelby looked at Dio. " I noticed that you seem to have a soft spot for women."
Dio hummed a bit amused. "Perhaps I do." Shelby rested her arms on the railing and then she laid her head on her arms.
"I found it.. Funny. How you wanted to be a lawyer, but you ended up turning into a vampire and killing people." Shelby laughed a bit. Dio didn't say anything to that.
"Remember when we used to sneak out of that mansion and to the roof? Just to look at the stars like this? You told me all about the stars and star signs, and how you would get scared and cling to me or the chimney, because you thought you were going to fall." Dio chuckled. Shelby blushed embarrassed.
