There are people in this world who are worth it, not to forget
There are things in your head, you didn't say, you regret
There are things that you've said, you wish you could take back
There are things that you need, but you don't, things you lack
I wish there was a place where I could put this all together
Maybe it's a good thing I can't, it makes it all the better
This doesn't stop my heart from paining, in this tragic loss
I wish I were allowed to go, but there are lines I cannot cross
Some people come in your life as a warning or a gift
But there are endless possibilities in which you must sift
Thank you for teaching me these painful lessons, which I needed to learn
But I know the chances to see you again are chances I must earn
Just don't forget me, if you do...
Remember, I haven't forgotten you
