We're going this way, we're going that
I wish life could be level, straight, and flat
We're going here, were going there,
Soon we'll have been everywhere
On a boat, on a plain,
In a car, in the rain,
Across the country, across the world
Life is twisted up and curled
Up, down, which way do I go?
Where are you going? How should I know!
New people, new house
Then I am a quiet mouse
New country, new land
Maybe soil, maybe sand
He leaves, we stay
We don't get a say
I don't like this game, I won't play
Can I just stay here, If I may?
No you cannot! Come with us
But don't you ever put up a fuss
In with the new friends out with the old
This happens when the house is sold
You try to keep in contact. You try to keep in touch
But the text messages will never be enough
When the days seem cold, even in the sun
You know this moving game, isn't really fun
Welcome to my life, welcome to my heaven
Goodbye old house, goodbye number seven
Welcome to my life, welcome to my hell
I am overreacting. My life is kind as swell
