Vash, Roberto, Wolfwood and I all came out of our tunnels, except for Meryl. The kid was nowhere to be seen either. Wolfwood had been smoking a lot more than I would like, cigarette butts began to fall all around his feet. "I got nothin'." Said Vash.
"Nothing here either." The old man walked over to us.
"Same." I said.
"I think we should call it. If we don't make it out of here soon we're dead." Wolfwood stated.
"Come on, nobody's dead okay?" The humanoid typhoon said. "As soon as we find them we'll go."
Wolfwood sighed, the smoke from his cigarette puffed onto my face, and I wanted to hit him in the face. The man then turned his head to make eye contact with Vash.
"Just jumping to risk your life for theirs, huh?" His voice was condescending.
"He just wants to help, smoker lungs." I said to Wolfwood. Vash looked over at me with a faltered expression and Nicholas scoffed. "He just wants to make sure everyone is safe, and rightfully so." Stamped smiled at me, his eyes slightly squinting under his sunglasses.
Vash reminded me a lot of myself when I was younger, wanting to save everyone and everything around me. I was the definition of selfless, and look at me now. I finally get a good look at Vash, he is pretty cute, kinda like a puppy dog. Like a dog...a dog.
"Oh shit my dog!" I yelled, startling the men around me. "My dog is gone. I need to find him." I looked straight at Wolfwood, then realized that I left out the other two missing people. "A-along with the other two of course."
Wolfwood suddenly snatched a glowing worm from the air, biting into its neck then devouring the insect whole.
"You only get one life there, Y/n."
"You keep talking like you're better than me. I'm gonna shove something else down your throat." I sighed. "And what does that even mean." The man gave me a shitty look. Roberto laughed at my language.
Wolfwood grabbed another worm from the air, then threw it at me. I caught it and stared at the ugly looking bug.
"Survival's everything." I looked up at Wolfwood with one of my eyebrows raised.
"I'm not eating this thing."
"That's the right decision there, Wipe Out." Roberto walked to my side.
