I woke up to a hot, muggy darkness. The air seemed heavy and moist as I got up and leaned against the wall for support. The past three, or was it four, days had been all the same. Jetstar would ask me everyday if I had decided on joining him, I would refuse, and then back to my prison I would go. I looked around and saw a frog and a small leaf with warm water laying at the entrance. I sniffed the frog and pushed it away, refusing to give in to Shadowclan out of hunger. I dipped my face in the water. Though it was warm, it was enough to be refreshing. I tried to clean off the blood, dirt, and tears from my face with the water as I stared at my faint reflection.

After hours of sitting in the hot, rotting log, my face felt incredibly hot and there seemed to be no relief from it. I was curled up in a corner, trying to sleep away the hours, when a figure stood in the light that shone throughout my prison as the boulder moved.

"Come, Jetstar is waiting" said and icy voice I had grown to recognize.

I walked resentfully towards the blindingly white she-cat and treated towards Jetstar's den. As I walked in, Jetstar looked at me with hatred glazing his eyes.

"Ah, daughter, have you decided upon the wise choice of jointing me?" Jetstar said and I glared at him, trying to stand my ground.

"My mind remains unchanged by your Clan's cruelty," I said and a hint of amusement crossed his face "and do not call me your daughter, you have not the right." At those words the amusement left Jetstar's face, turning to hatred again.

"I have all the right to do what I please, especially to an ungrateful, Thunderclan scum as yourself!" He hissed, his tail lashing back and forth. Iceheart came and stood next to her mate, he eyes baring into me.

"Listen to your father, you know Thunderclan is not coming for you. To them, you are a burden and...a disappointment." She said, putting an emphasis on those last words. I stood staring the ground, my mind trying to hold back the growing fear that what she said, was true.

"No! They love me! Heatfur loves me!" I said, my voice shaking from the harsh realization being brought upon me. Iceheart and Jetstar laughed, only making me want to hide in my prison, away from their words.

"Face it, no one loves you, how could love someone as useless as you?" Jetstar said, clearly amused at my advancing downfall. Tears started forming in my tired eyes, dropping onto the dirt. Iceheart finally led me back to my 'den', leaving me with the harsh words still hanging in my mind. The gathering, I thought to myself, Bramblestar will say something. I laid down on the hard floor, my mind going through what ifs.

Hours went by in what seemed like forever, when my brother, Frostfur moved the boulder just enough to see me.

"We are back from the gathering, bramblestar didn't even raise a hair about you. The medicine cat even let it slip that your precious lover has come down with greencough." I stared in shock at my brother,

"No! That can't be!" I shouted but it was too late, I was shut in again. I looked at ceiling and shouted at the top of my lungs "What have I done to deserve this?!? What kind of monsters do this when you are supposed to love all the cats of the Clans?!" Starclan has turned their back on me, for reasons unknown to me, and know the one I love is in pain and I can't do anything. They are monsters, and I refuse to believe in monsters. It had been hours, I think, since I had heard anything from outside my prison, until I heard loud but faint cries come outside. I heard cats screeching and cries of pain, then I heard voices.

"Where is she?! We must find her before it's too late!" Yelled one voice and another replied

"We will find her! We have Starclan on our side."

Your wrong, Starclan helps no one but themselves, I thought to myself.

Then the Boulder moved, I jumped back and pressed myself against the walls, the bark scraping against my fur. Moonlight flooded the den and there stood two cats. A she-cat, i assumed, stood with a pelt that shone like Silverpelt and her navy blue eyes searching the areas around her quickly. Next to the she-cat stood a well-built, calico tom with eyes that seemed to run with red.

My first thought? I am gonna die.

"Is that...oh Starclan, I think it is!" said the she-cat and she ran towards me. I backed up to the wall in fear, even though the voice sounded familiar.

"Wait! Don't just run up to the first cat you think is her!" Said the tom, quickly running after the she-cat. My mind buzzed as I tried to remember who the voices belonged to.

Then through the moonlight, I could finally make out the cats features. It was Moonstream and Wisepool!

My heart did a leap for joy as Moonstream gave me a warm smile

"It is you! You're okay!" she said gleefully

"Okay, we can have a reunion later! Just get her out of here Moonstream!" Wisepool said with an annoyed tone. Moonstream and I quickly headed for the entrance and Wisepool quickly followed suit. Around me cats were fighting and yowling. Moonstream guided me through the battle, headed for the exit of the camp.

"Going so quickly?" hissed a voice that seemed to slash its was through the noise of battle. I turned to face Iceheart, anger replacing my fear.

"Of course, bevause it seems that your hospitality has run out!" I growled and Iceheart grew even more furious, she leaped at me, only to be knocked away by Wisepool. They battled, Iceheart was wining by the looks of it. Moonstream looked at me,

"Go, run to camp and don't look back!" she yelled over the battle cries, before running over to help Wisepool.

I turned back towards the entrance and ran as fast as I could. I ran like my life depended on it, because it did.

Soon I reached the camp, it was partially empty because many cats had joined the battle. I felt exhausted, but I only had one cat on my mind. Heatfur. I ran towards the medicine cat den and saw him, my precious little fighter was laying on a moss nest. Rainpaw was standing over him, trying to coz him into eating the mouse that lay in-front of him.

When I entered, she smiled a little, but I could see the worry and concern that covered her usual happiness. She led me outside and told me about Heatfur. He had developed Greencough about 3 days ago. At first, it got better, then worse, then a little better.

"He hasn't eaten much either, he has been having trouble keeping prey down." Rainpaw informed me and I nodded. After informing about Heatfur, I felt defeated, but I didn't know what I felt has defeated me. While I pondered the information I had just recieved, Rainpaw spoke,

"But on a happier note, I have some big news to tell you!"
