Author's Note: Let's all just pretend that they had at-home movies in the 1960s for a second. I understand that that part is a little unrealistic, but hey, this is fanfiction, so if you're here for realistic, you're probably in the wrong place.

Morticia has had several nights of bad sleep. She's exhausted, and Gomez can see that she's upset that she can't get a good night of rest. He has dedicated himself to helping her relax and enjoy herself.

The house is quiet. Everyone is in bed, except for Morticia and Gomez, who are about to settle in for a movie night. Gomez has picked out a scary movie, knowing that those are some of Morticia's favorites.

"What shall we watch, my darling?" Morticia asked, giving her husband a flirty smile.

"I was leaning toward something a little scary," Gomez replied, scanning her face for her reaction. Her eyes widened in delight.

"Oh I love a good fright," she shuddered in delight.

Gomez raised his eyebrows, pressed play, and pulled his wife onto the couch next to him. He wrapped his arm around her, and she leaned into him.

The opening music to "The Wizard of Oz" began to play. The story started off slowly, but quickly devolved into fearful chaos. Upon seeing that a witch had been murdered on screen, Morticia couldn't even bear to look at the screen. She buried her face in Gomez's shoulder until he said that she was safe to watch again. She looked back at the screen, but stayed close to Gomez, prepared for what else the movie had in store for them.

Gomez kept his arms around his wife. He had seen the movie before, so he was prepared for all of the frightening parts.

Once the Wicked Witch of the West came on screen, Morticia sat straight upright.

"Oh Gomez!" Morticia exclaimed. "She looks just like my mother!"

Gomez tried to keep his face straight, so that he wouldn't give away what happened to this witch that Morticia had already attached herself to.

"By Jove, Tish," he agreed. "That she does!"

Morticia settled back down and draped her legs over Gomez's lap. She sat on the couch next to him, and wrapped her arms around his waist. He placed one arm around her shoulders, and stroked her leg with the other.

They held one another like this as Dorothy and her friends went on their chilling adventure. They enjoyed this time together, sometimes looking at the screen and other times looking at one another. Gomez gently kissed the side of Morticia's hair, and Morticia nuzzled his neck in return.

They came to the scene where Dorothy confronts the Wicked Witch of the West. Morticia sat up taller, admiring her favorite character. Morticia had always had a fondness for all witches, but this one was special. Gomez tightened his arm around her, knowing what was coming.

The awful Dorothy splashed water on the wonderful witch, who only wanted her shoes back. Morticia gasped, and then started to cry. Gomez paused the movie and got up to turn the lights on.

He pulled Morticia close to him, and stroked her hair.

"It's only a movie, Tish," he murmured. "It's not real."

"Even for a movie," she replied through her tears. "It's too horrible to think about."

"Such violence," Gomez agreed, shaking his head. "I'm sorry, querida. I suggested this movie because I thought you would find the scary parts enjoyable. I didn't mean to make you so upset."

"Oh, I know you didn't," she reassured him. She pulled back and looked him in the eye.

"I'm tired, and that always makes me more emotional," she reasoned. "I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if I had slept better the past few nights."

"Let's turn it off," Gomez suggested. "We can do something else."

Morticia simply nodded her head, and then cuddled into him again. They spent the rest of the night holding one another and talking. Morticia fell asleep in her husband's arms, and he carried her up to bed.
