12 as given as Cheeku's Age in the Story Being Aware, is actually a bit late nowadays for such knowledge, due to us being in Digital Era.

There are Workshops, Age-Appropriate Child Psychologists teaching all of these for Parents, and for Children as young as 4-5 Years old - starting from the very basics such as Good Touch - Bad Touch.

I had once seen the Video of a 4 Year Old Girl from abroad, folding clothes into the Shape of the Feminine Hygiene Structure and pointing out each and every single body part accurately.

In Reality, Cheeku at 12 Years would already have knowledge on all these - but it was necessary to show AryLie having this talk with Him, including slight mentions of menopause (Arpita and Narmada were mentioned to have had Periods in the past, meaning they had hit and crossed Menopause.).

Also, I wanted AryLie to experience this phase as Parents of a Teenager.

Also, the mentality does Not go away with just Education. There is a High Chance that The Elder Tripathi Women would have kept Imlie in Isolation during Periods. TBH, I lack patience to write about them in detail - hence I have just mentioned them and contrasted their behaviour with that of an Uneducated Satyakaam.

I have seen several seemingly progressive Families in Cities keeping Girls and Women isolated - it has even happened with me at times, until My Father intervened.

Education is Secondary.
Common Sense and Empathy are Primary.
A Degree is sadly, Not Necessarily the yardstick of measuring Common Sense and Empathy.

Even if all these things improve, the Habit of calling Periods as 'Filth' would take One Generation to go away.

Body and Body Functions are Not something that should be shunned from being talked about with Children - they are Natural.

The Shame that is associated with it when we shush a curious child asking about this, is nothing but a crude reflection of our own regressive mindsets.
