Deciding to waste no more time than he already had, Tiberius quickly moved into action, taking several shots at the lumberjack with his pistol while running to the side.
"Ha! Now this is the Tiberius I signed up for!" Jeremiah exclaimed from within the pistol.
"Mm." Leif agreed from Tiberius's other hand.
"Now for the finishing blow! Nngh... Gyah!" Tiberius exclaimed, struggling to lift the fishing hook to swing it at the man. The lumberjack caught the strike in midair, easily, yanking Tiberius off-balance.
At that moment, Tiberius stepped on a loop of the long silver chain he'd been dragging before him and tripped.
"Ack! H-Hey!! No one makes a fool of Tiberius the Great and gets away with it! Screw this..." Tossing the weapons carelessly to the side, Tiberius dove for the lumberjack's legs, catching the man off-guard.
Behind Tiberius, the two weapons regained their human, and rather pissed, forms, Jeremiah with their arms crossed, and Leif staring a steely glare at the back of Tiberius's head.
"Cmon. Tiberius has the guy distracted, let's help him finish this," Jeremiah offered.
"Mm." Leif agreed, nodding firmly and holding a hand out. Jeremiah's form turned to light and a familiar green and black pistol appeared in Leif's hand. A wild grin lit up his disinterested expression and he began running circles around the lumberjack, firing shot after shot into his body.
"Woah there little dude, you're starting to make me dizzy," Jeremiah complained. Leif chose that moment to leap onto, and scale, the Lumberjack's back like some crazed racoon, pointing the pistol at the side of the now quite bewildered man's head as he perched on his shoulder.
Leif's finger hovered over the trigger, about to pull it, when–
"Make sure you'll tell everyone about Tiberius the Great's feat of bravery when we get back!" Tiberius called from his tackling position.
A beam of shimmering light, seemingly in the shape of an arrow, suddenly arced into the battlefield, piercing the lumberjack's forehead. Leif quickly leapt off the man seconds before his form began to wobble, turning into a series of black ribbons, then simply a glowing red soul.
With another beam of light, Jeremiah took their human form once again.
"I definitely did NOT fire that shot," Jeremiah clarified, staring into the bushes in bewilderment. Leif nodded.
"GYAAAAH! YAH!" Leif commented.
"You know what? Yeah. Finders keepers rules. This should be our soul, not whoever's that was."
"So I did it?" Tiberius asked, getting to his feet.
"You–yes. You did it. All on your own," Jeremiah agreed.
"So I did... You're welcome, both of you." Tiberius straightened, flipping his hair. "Just another adventure in the wondrous life of Tiberius the Great!"
