I had been waiting for years to get my hands on this particular contract, and finally, I had it in front of me. I had read the contract at least fourteen times in the last hour while Pearce went over it with me. His voice just seemed to drone on and on, and I felt like I had heard a million different tones by the time he returned to his overly cheery tone. Normally, I wouldn't have minded, but at that moment when I was ready to sign the contract, it was getting on my nerves. I wanted to tell him to get on with it, but I knew it wasn't the right thing to do, so I kept quiet and focused on the contract.

It felt like weeks had gone by, that I sat in this dull gray office, the small clock on the wall ticking by ever so slowly.

"I need you to sign your name here," said Pearce, interrupting my thoughts. Suddenly, I felt the weight of the smooth metallic pen in my hand. "And sign your signature here." The room fell silent, except for the sound of pens scratching across the page.

I checked to make sure I had signed in all the correct places before sliding the contract in front of Adam and settling back into my seat, waiting for him to sign. Once he had handed the pages over to Pearce, who then performed a swift review, Pearce stood up calmly and extended his arm to shake our hands, crossing the other over his midsection.

"Go make history Judgement Day!"

Unlike some people in the world, I genuinely enjoyed my job and the human beings that came with it. Talking eagerly with one another backstage was one of the enjoyable moments that I found myself doing almost all the time.

Momentarily, I was crouched on a flight case talking to Edge, asking him how his and Beth's girls were doing. Every few minutes, some of our fellow wrestlers would enter the gorilla and chat for a few moments, which remained a decent way to pass the time as we waited for our segment.

"Hi! What are you doing up there?" Liv Morgan eagerly questioned, chuckling gleefully at the sight of me.

"Staying prepared in case a set of cameras unanimously choose to come in for a backstage segment. Crouching on things is part of the new character; you like?" I smirked, elevating my eyebrows teasingly, causing the pair in front of me to laugh.

"Absolutely!" she teasingly joked in a posh accent, fluttering her eyelashes and pursing her lips as she rested her hand under her chin.

"Uh-oh! Looks like WWE has a new couple! Watch out Jimmy and Naomi, they're coming for you!" Adam joked, startling a laugh out of both Gionna and I.

"So, this new character, what is she supposed to be like?"

"Well she is very ominous and ambiguous I'll allow you that. She is someone who will be causing frequent havoc in the ring but not for the first bit. The first bit she'll be pretty quiet while her partner in crime," I flashed a smile at Adam. "Serves all the work; talking, fighting, etc. She'll remain a crucial character even with the lack of talking. She'll be perceived for crouching on the turnbuckles and carrying around a metal bat, as well as wearing a lot of cloaks. Her big-money maker, her big hook, however, will be for keeping her face veiled behind a mask." I grinned, super excited for the next couple of months.

"Professionally, I can't wait to meet her, to fight her out there!" she challenged, running her tongue over her teeth, jerking her head in the direction of the monitors that viewed the current match out in the ring.

"Cameras are coming! Cameras are coming!" A crew member warned as he came running in. Quickly grabbing my mask from behind me, I snapped it into place and pulled my hood on. Just as the crewman had warned, about five cameras came into the room, each spreading out to film from various angles.
