hello.

kaz woke up with the sun directly in their face. they mumbled some unknown words and rubbed their eyes. "shit, why's the sun up so early..." they groaned.

they walked over to their backpack and pulled out their cans of expire-free food. kaz gingerly chewed what was "oatmeal."

who in their right mind thought this was food?? they thought.

kaz went back to their belongings and just sat there. they turned on their phone and read a few stories on webtoon. (heheheh)

"shit i didn't realize i'd be so bored." they rolled their eyes. "i don't have anything to do."

they decided to go exploring and walked around for hours. it started to get dark.

"where did the time go?" they wondered out loud.

as they walked back to their temporary home, they felt as if someone was watching them. kaz looked around furtively and quickened their pace.

"spooky ass place dammit watch me die right now-"

they reached the tower and shut what remained of the door. kaz breathed in relief and leaned against the wall.

in front of her, a pair of eyes suddenly opened and shone in the dark.
