You

I exhaled, finally calming down from what had happened only a couple of minutes ago. Besides the mess that was just about everywhere, his apartment looked very nice. "Do you still want this asparagus?" I nodded and he took it out, getting two pans to start cooking. I yawned and he got close to me while I poured the thawed shrimp in the pan. The silence felt painful as we waited for the food to cook. "(f/n). I have something I want to tell you. I don't know if you know yet."

I turned my head. I knew exactly what was about to happen. I was scared. What if my lips were chapped?! No.. I'm not getting sucked into that black hole again. "I..." he looked down and I looked at him. "Nothing.. could you get some that seasoning?" I kept a straight face, but my brain did a bummed out sigh. I wouldn't lose all hope, but that seriously bummed me out. I breathe in, smelling the delicious smell of cooked salmon and buttery shrimp, and exhale out. He really changed moods quickly. I noticed while he opened the door for me that he had freckles. How have I never seen them?

"Hey Diavolo," I say as I move closer to him to move the shrimp around the pan. It was finally almost finished. "Hm?" He looked over and I looked into his green eyes. "You have freckles?" His face got a little red. "Shit.. I forgot to put on my makeup once I was finished.." I felt like my eyes could turn into heart eyes in an instant. He has no makeup on, this would be a perfect opportunity to kiss his perfect face. I giggled and went back to mixing up the shrimp. "Sorry. I thought about something."

"Can you put the shrimp in this pasta? You can sit down afterwards." I shrugged and put an equal amount of shrimp in. I went over to sit down at the table, which was probably the cleanest thing in the house, no offense. He walked over and gave me a plate.

"I couldn't get a whole cake.." he frowned and slid a box over to my side of the table. "But I got this a couple days ago. I hope it's enough for you. If not... I could always get one. I underst-" I kissed him and felt all my worries fly away like birds migrating in cold seasons. I didn't think about my friends, my stupid memory, stress, anything. Just his gentle lips. "It's perfect. Red velvet is one of my favorite." He touched his lips a bit. He looked shocked. "Did you.." I nodded affirmatively. "I love you so much Diavolo. Have I not expressed it enough to you?"

I leaned over the table a little in hopes he'd look back up at me. "You do. More than enough. I don't, and I'm sorry." I kissed his forehead slowly and I felt his heat rise. "So- you do like me. So.. we're like.. official? Man, I sound so childish." I giggled. Yes, we were in fact a thing now. And that made me tremendously happy. "Yeah. We're a thing now. You can kiss me whenever. Such an accomplishment." He grasped my hand. "Can we save the food for later? I want to take you somewhere." I got a bit confused, but complied.

"Yeah." He held my hand and took me to his car, opening the door for me, jeez, this is no joke. He had taken the cake and a fork with him, telling me to hold it. Of course, I didn't know what he was planning, so I did so. "This ought to fix things, right?" He started the ignition and backed out the spot he had parked in. He turned up the radio that was in fact on our favorite channel. Our favorite channel. I rolled my sides window down halfway. We had passed the park I normally go to. Okay, this was gonna be totally different. After 10-ish minutes, we made it. It was a different park, but I knew exactly which one it was.

"You remember this park?" My eyes tried to tear up, but I couldn't. Nothing could ruin this.
