Hopes POV: I'm in love with Josie. That is my secret. As the monster got bigger and bigger I had to decide whether or not to tell my tale. "What if I told just the monster would it die then?" I asked Mg.

"Just tell your secret. We won't judge you," Josie tried to reassure me.

"Oh yes you will," I replied in a sing-songy voice.

"No I won't,"

"Nither will I," said Mg.

Everyone looked at Lizzie expectingly. "Oh I already know," she shrugged like it was no big deal.

"I'm in love with Josie Saltzman," I whispered looking at my feet. The monster still did not shrink.

"What?" Josie asked?

"I HAVE A CRUSH ON YOU," I spoke up loudly.

Hours later, maybe two or three, I was cleaning the floor from the monster. It was clean though, and has been for about an hour. Lizzie walked in and asked "Are gonna stay here all day or do you wanna go get some lunch?"

"I'm gonna stay here,"

She walked up and took the mop from me slowly, then putting it against a wall. "Let's go," she smiled taking my arm. I reluctantly let her lead me out into the Café. I grabbed a Pb and J, an orange, and some water.

"To our table," she shouted taking my hand. I looked at one of the entrances to see Josie coming in. When she saw me her eyes went wide and she started to jog toward me.

"Nope," I said turning around fast running to my room taking my food with me.

***

I ate my food fast and threw away any trash that I had. After that I stayed in my room for the rest of the school day. I know I'll be in trouble by Dr. Saltzman but I think that's better then what Josie was going to say to me. I'm ahead in class anyway. So, while I was in my room I spaced off, did homework, spaced off more, thought about Josie, and just did that over and over until there was nock on the door.

"Who is it?" I asked sitting up from my desk.

"Uh it's Lizzie," Josie tried.

"Josie I know it's you," I said as I looked around the room for an escape. Then a light bulb went off in my head. "Come in," I spoke as I did an invisibility spell. When she opened the door I slipped out and ran for my life all the way to Lizzie's room.

Dumb mistake, I know, but I had to at least tell someone where I'm going. I burst in and Lizzie was sitting on her bed watching tv on her laptop. "Omg Hope there you are. Josie's been looking for you," she said bolting up out of bed.

"I know. She's at my room right now. I wanted to tell you I'm gonna go outside for a wolf run," I said frantically trying to leave fast.

"You know you'll have to talk to her eventually," Lizzie stated the obvious.

"I know but I don't have to right now. So bye," I said rushing out the door and going to the woods.

***

My entire life I ran from everything. That's why my family died. I ran instead of confronting the problem straight on. So, I can't do that anymore. I can't run from scary things anymore. Tomorrow I'm going to find her and tell her everything.

***

The next day I woke up and got dressed quickly. I ran outside of my dorm room and walked to Josie's room. When I got to her door I paused with my hand up to knock. Right as I was about to the door opened. There she was. She was perfect, absolutely perfect.

Her brown eyes and long wavy hair. Her white top and yellow skirt. She was everything to me and I now realize that.

"Hi," I whispered.
