it all connected now. the secrecy, the sorcery, the fact that he was a rare being for crying out loud. and now the name. no one in hyrule names their child or chooses the name ganon-anything unless they must really hate them or are trying to be quirky in some way. whoever this was had to be some kind of avatar of the beast himself. the shock on your face must have amused this ganondorf as he laughed before you could say anything and stood to his full height again.

"what, surprised? i don't know how you didn't realize sooner. though i suppose it could be hard to believe this day in age. regardless, i assure you, this is very real." he conjured a flame of purple fire in his hand as if it were proof. with the snap of his fingers from his other hand, a gust of wind rippled through the air and before you knew it the yellow beams emitting from various bulbs were turned purple and torches you didn't even notice were there before were alight, and the large great room was bathed in a purple hue. after a brief moment in the glow, the flame in his hand disappeared when he clapped and all the lighting returned to normal.

you were having a hard time processing all this, so your instinct was to reply to the whole demonstration rather stupidly. "so... cool magic trick? should i act impressed?"

a slight frown seemed to pry at his face from your words but he remained composed and resumed his smirk. "well, i could turn into a foul beast and eat you alive if that would satisfy you more. but that would be rather inconvenient for the both of us."

"uh, touche..." you whispered.

the man let out a chuckle in amusement and sighed. "worry not. as long as you are compliant, you will thrive here. i have no interest in dealing with your resistance, so i've generously prepared my estate for your comfort. don't make me regret it." he made sure to sound stern at the end of his sentence to get his point across. at least he was trying to make it a relaxed kidnapping? regardless, you did not feel at ease and your mind was racing with questions and uncertainty.

"y-yes, but-"

"quiet." he said monotonely. his hand reached forward and made you flinch despite it being a rather slow movement and it soon rested on your upper back. it was huge on you, pretty much spanning shoulder to shoulder. "i know you have questions and they will be answered. but you're probably starving, hm? come, let's dine." he gave you a gentle pat to send you forward, but it really almost sent you falling over.

you followed ganondorf as he presumably lead you to the dining hall. it was on the same floor and the two of you were making your way down a corridor. you had to take twice as many steps as him in order to keep up, and were greatly intimidated by him. he was silent and only gave you glances that he immediately averted once you would return his gaze. you wondered if he truly was an incarnation of the legendary power-hungry pig beast that descended from the lord of demons. the creature that every grandmother says a teenager wearing ripped clothing as a fashion statement worships. him being a male gerudo would make sense for it, although it may be unfair to stereotype him over such old legends about evil kings and lynels.

but despite his intimidating nature, you strangely didn't feel threatened enough to 100% believe it. maybe it was just because this was a lot to take in and it just hadn't hit you yet. your hungry stomach however did have you worried that if he were so evil, he must have a gross taste in food that would be so gross you would lose your appetite. like bokoblin guts pie or keese kabobs or something. or maybe the food would look and taste perfect but actually be a pile of enchanted spiders. and then he would get angry with you for not eating it and lock you in a tower for a day or two. maybe you read too many books...

when you did enter the dining hall, you found the space was tall and narrow, but not as large as you were expecting. there was still enough room for a good amount of party guests however. there was a beautiful chandelier above the table and an old gerudo rug below it. the table itself was lined with ornamental candles and filled with all sorts of foods that didn't seem alarming at first glance. as you studied the room, ganondorf pulled out the nearest chair that was alone at the very end of the table and gestured for you to sit. you nodded and did promptly, and he wordlessly made his way to his own large chair at on the opposite side.
