Part 5: Husbands

As days go by, people assumes Keita is in relationship with Zihao as Zihao always show up in front of Keita's class everyday when the school ends.

One day, as Keita was packing up his things at the end of the school day, one of his classmates teased him.

"Keita, your husband already came to pick you up," she said, giggling.

Keita rolled his eyes, used to the teasing by now. He looked over to the classroom door and saw Zihao standing there, leaning casually against the wall. Zihao caught his eye and grinned.

"Ready to go, wifey?" Zihao joked, using the nickname he had given Keita.

Keita shook his head, a smile playing on his lips. He knew that their friendship had caused some speculation among their classmates, but he didn't care. As long as he had Zihao by his side, he was happy.

"Let's go, hubby," he said, shouldering his backpack and falling into step beside Zihao.

Zihao and Keita walked out of the school gates, their conversation turning to teasing banter as usual.

"You know, people think we're married," Keita joked.

Zihao laughed. "You're cool with it?"

"Why not? You make a good hubby, though," Keita replied with a grin.

Zihao raised an eyebrow mischievously. "I make a good boyfriend too."

Keita's heart skipped a beat at the implication behind Zihao's words. "Uhuh, okay then," he managed to say.

Zihao turned to face Keita, his expression serious but his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Do you want to be my boyfriend? I promise I'll be a good one," he said with a hint of a smile.

Keita's face flushed with a mix of surprise and happiness. "What?" he asked, feeling a little overwhelmed.

Zihao stepped closer, taking Keita's hand in his own. "I really like you, Keita. I want to be with you," he said softly.

Keita's heart swelled with warmth at Zihao's words. He looked up into Zihao's eyes and saw nothing but sincerity and affection.

"I want that too, Zihao," he said, feeling a smile break out on his face. "Let's be boyfriends."

"but keep it secret, please" keita asked. "I am shy with my mom"

Zihao nodded understandingly. "Of course, Keita. We can keep it between us for now."

Keita breathed a sigh of relief. "Thank you, Zihao. I just don't want to make things awkward with my mom or Takuto."

Zihao squeezed Keita's hand reassuringly. "I get it. We'll figure it out together."

As they walked home, hand in hand, Keita felt a sense of excitement and nervousness building inside him. He couldn't believe that Zihao, his friend and now his boyfriend, felt the same way about him.

But for now, they would keep their relationship a secret, enjoying their private moments together and the knowledge that they belonged to each other.
