Part 7: Usual Handsome Boy's Problem

Next day, Zihao walked into his classroom and was surprised to see Kania waiting for him at his desk. "Hey, Zihao," she said, smiling sweetly at him. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

"Sure, what's up?" Zihao replied, trying to sound casual.

"Well, I know we don't know each other very well, but I've had a crush on you for a while now," Kania said, blushing slightly. "I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me sometime?"

Zihao's heart sank a little. He didn't want to hurt Kania's feelings, but he was already in a relationship with Keita. "Kania, I appreciate your interest in me, but I'm sorry, I can't go out with you," he said gently.

Kania's smile faded a little, but she nodded understandingly. "I understand," she said softly. "Thanks for being honest with me."

Zihao watched her walk away and couldn't help feeling a little guilty. He didn't like hurting people's feelings, especially when they were being brave and putting themselves out there like Kania had. But he knew that he had to be true to himself and his own feelings.

Later that day, Keita noticed that Zihao seemed a little distant and preoccupied. "What's wrong?" he asked, nudging Zihao's shoulder.

Zihao shook his head. "Nothing, I'm fine," he said, forcing a smile.

Keita didn't buy it. He could tell when something was bothering Zihao. "Did something happen?" he pressed.

Zihao sighed. "Kania, a junior in my class, asked me out today," he said, looking down at his desk.

Keita felt a twinge of jealousy that he tried to push down. "And what did you say?" he asked, trying to sound nonchalant.

"I turned her down," Zihao said, still not looking up. Keita remained quit, his jealousy is still there.

Keita tried to ignore his jealousy and act as if nothing happened, but it was hard for him.

Zihao noticed Keita's mood so he is now in Keita's room, asking what's wrong. Keita tried to play it cool and said he was just tired, but Zihao knew better. "Keita, I love you, and nobody else can change that. I rejected her because I only have eyes for you."

Keita blushed at Zihao's words and felt relieved that his boyfriend was still committed to him. "I'm sorry for acting grumpy earlier," Keita said. "I just can't help feeling a bit insecure sometimes."

"It's okay," Zihao replied. "I understand. But please don't doubt my feelings for you. You are the only one for me." With that, Keita felt a wave of warmth and love wash over him, and he knew that Zihao was right. He didn't need to feel insecure because he had Zihao's love and commitment.

They snuggled with each other in Keita's bedroom until Keita fell asleep. Seeing his boyfriend's peaceful face, Zihao couldn't help himself as he he leaned in to kiss Keita's forehead. However, just as he pulled away, he noticed Keita's mom watching him with a smile on her face.

Zihao's heart skipped a beat and he was filled with panic, unsure of how Keita's mom would react to seeing him kiss her son. But to his surprise, Keita's mom simply chuckled and said, "I already know, Zihao. Mom's instinct."

Zihao felt a sense of relief wash over him and he smiled sheepishly. "Sorry, Mom," he said timidly. Keita's mom just laughed and patted his shoulder. "No need to apologize, Zihao. I'm just glad Keita has someone like you in his life."

Zihao felt grateful for Keita's mom's understanding and acceptance of their relationship. He knew he was lucky to have someone like her in their corner, supporting their love for each other.

"I just want to remind you that in this house there is still my baby son, Takuto" Keita's mom said as closing the door.

Zihao blushed furiously, embarrassed that Keita's mom knew about their relationship. He thought they had been so careful, but it seems like nothing can escape a mother's intuition.
