A Beautiful Tragedy

Hospital

Emily's POV
I can hear whispering, I'm not sure who it is but I feel somewhat comforted. I opened my eyes and see Aria and Spencer sitting across the room from me and Ali is holding my hand with tears running down her face. I squeezed her hand and she looked up immediately. Ali jumped up on the bed and wraps her arms around my body " oh my god Em" she cried while snuggling up to me. Aria and Spencer are now at the foot of the hospital bed, Spencer is holding onto Aria while Aria is looking at me smiling. Suddenly Hanna comes running in " what the fuck happened" Hanna screamed, Spencer turned her head to look at her " will you please be quiet, I'll explain letter" Spencer snapped. My head started pounding, it felt like it was going to burst. Ali must have noticed because she made all the girls leave then she came back to the bed and placed herself underneath me so my head would be on her lap, I can feel her playing with my hair trying to soothe me because the next thing I know I'm asleep again.

I woke up and Ali was no where in sight. She must have gone home but while I was thinking I didn't notice that someone walked through the doors, I looked up and it was him. My heart stopped. He started walking over to me and I quickly jumped out of my bed " what the fuck are you doing here" I yelled " I just came back to get what you owe me" he mocked " and what is that?" I asked him " you" he giggled and with that he lunged forward. He ripped my hospital gown off and tried to pleasure me but I kept hitting him. I must have hit him really hard because the next thing I know he hit me harder, I screamed for help but no one came. I hit him one last time and he slapped me across the face, I blacked out after that.

Ali's POV
I pulled Emily onto my lap and started playing with her hair, I felt her body relax right away as she snuggled into my lap. She's so strong, if I was her, I would be breaking down right now. I hear her breathing steady out and I release the breath I didn't know I was holding, soon after that I fell asleep too. I woke up in the middle of the night to Emily fidgeting, I felt her forehead and she was getting really hot " em babe wake up" I whispered loud enough but to not scare her. She jumped out of my lap and I noticed she was crying " oh I'm sorry, did I wake you?" Emily mumbled " your fidgeting woke me up but I don't really care are you okay?" Yeah I just had a bad dream I guess" she yawned " oh do you want to talk about it?" " No not really" she admitted " okay well you need to get some sleep" I told her while pulling her back onto my lap " actually how about we stay up and just talk" She asked " okay I guess? What do you want to talk about?" "Anything".

Last night was filled with laughter, Emily and I were learning new things about each other, telling embarrassing stories of when we were younger and she even talked about where she grew up. I noticed that she refused to talk about her parents though but I decided to not ask about that, I was sitting at the end of the hospital bed while Emily was sitting at the top " Ali how come you stayed the night? Don't they have visiting hours here?" " Well I stayed because I am a concerned girlfriend and I pushed some buttons and told them that I won't leave you and if they even tried to get rid of me I'd call my lawyer" I told her proudly, Emily looked at me and laughed. I moved towards her and kissed her, she cupped my cheeks and tried to deepen the kiss which I granted immediately, I felt her slide her tongue against my bottom lip but before I could do anything I heard the door open " you forgot to put up the do not disturb sign didn't you" Emily asked me while chuckling " what no" I lied. I turned around and saw that it was Emily's doctor that walked in, he looked slightly embarrassed yet turned on oh god he's one of those guys I thought to myself " well Ms. Fields your test results came back okay but you have a minor concussion and that's why you had to stay the night" he cleared his throat to see if we had any questions " is she allowed to go home now?" I asked " yes she can but you have to take it easy" he told Emily " you just need to sign these papers then you can go" he said while handing me the papers. I took the pen and paper from him and signed it right away " ready to go home?" I asked excitedly " I was born ready" Emily sung. I laughed her while grabbing clothes for her in my bag " when did you go to my house" oh I didn't Hanna did" I responded " oh" she muttered. We walked out of the hospital hand in hand and I couldn't help but smile, we have been together for a little over two months yet I feel like I have known her all my life.

When we arrived at her apartment Emily was practically falling asleep in my arms, I took her to her bedroom and made her sit up on the bed. I changed her into her pajamas and pulled her covers down so she could get in. She lied down and fell asleep instantly. I kissed her forehead and left her room, I texted the girls telling them that I got Emily home and she is fast asleep. I went into the kitchen to make food because I hadn't eaten for since yesterday morning, I was about to pour the eggs into the pan when I heard screaming come from Emily's room. I dropped everything and ran in " Emily wake up" I told her while slightly pushing her shoulder, she got up and slapped me across the face. She looked at me and realized what she did " oh my god Ali I'm so sorry I didn't know" Emily rambled " hey it's okay it didn't hurt that much" I whispered. I got up and moved to the other side of the bed and got in, I cuddled up to Emily and she turned around
" em what's going on?" I asked she looked down and I saw and tear escape from her eye " I keep seeing him" she cried. I wrapped my arms around her as she sobbed into my shoulder " hey it's going to be alright okay? I'm here don't worry I'm not leaving" I whispered into her ear. The rest of the day consisted of Emily and I hugging and her crying, I didn't know what to do and I couldn't help but feel useless.
