Day one: The way to catch a stalker

It was the next day and the Moon festival was coming soon there were many people in the harbor running around with preparations and banners.

They all had beautiful designs with amazing detail and special blue dimming lights to set the mood, the entire aesthetic of the nation had went from sun to moon overnight

"Wow the people of liyue really care about this festival huh, they're even setting up a day early!"

Both me and paimon looked around in astonishment admiring the entirely new atmosphere of the nation.

We arrived at the adventures guild moments later to greet Katherine and ask if there were any commissions they needed me to do.

"Ah hello traveler, Paimon are you excited for your very first Lunar festival?"

"Oh you bet we are, Paimon can't wait to eat all the yummy foods and send offerings to Chang'e!"

Paimon was unusually excited about this, maybe she got some good sleep last night or something. But she seems extremely excited today.

"My, my your excited paimon. Well if you came for commissions im afraid there aren't any since the Lunar festival is on the horizon there have been less issues to deal with.

However I hear the ministry of civil affairs are hiring people to help prepare for tomorrow, you should go and check it out."

"Thanks for the tip, we'll be going then. Have a good day."

We waved goodbye and went the the ministry just as she said, we spent the whole day helping out with the preparations and by the end of it we were exhausted.

"Ah paimon's so tired she could sleep like a wild boar for a week straight!"

We were sitting on a bench as we sweated constantly from the work we did, out of the blue a familiar voice spoke.

"Well if that were to happen you would most likely get eaten by other boars."

"Huh who said that!"

Looking up it was Xiao, that was unexpected.

"Xiao what are you doing here? I thought you said you didn't like coming to the harbor."

The short adepts was standing on top of a lamp post for some odd reason making me have to look up just to see his face!

"What are you doing up there come down!"

He rolled his eyes and got down to and eye level.

"You two have better stay careful, I've been watching you two for a while and i have to say. Someone is after you yet again."

Hearing that reminds me of h the dark figure I saw the other day, I knew something was going on but at the time I thought i was seeing things but hearing xiao say that i know that my hunch is correct.

"Pft- dont worry about us we're fine, the traveler is stronger than you think you know. She's been training!"

Paimon's statement sounds rather bold considering the fact that im the one who does most of the work while she floats around as "emotional support"

"Follow me, I know exactly what to do in order to catch this person."

And we took his word for it leading up to our flawless plan to capture them, we waited until nighttime and acted as if I was tipsy and paimon was guiding me home.

We ended up capturing them using a magical spell that chains up whoever steps foot into the circle.

"That went perfectly, way to go Xiao! Now it's time to see who this masked person is!"

We carefully removed the hood to find a boy with tall rabbit ears with a jade green coat and dull grey eyes.

Xiao seemed to be shocked by the appearance, heck scratch that he was mortified I've never thought I'd see Xiao of all people have such and expression on his face.

"Well hello there, Adeptus Xiao."

A/n: Hey so this chapter is pretty short sorry about that(not even 700 words😭) I have a bit of school stuff going on but since summer is next for me I promise chapters will be at least 1K words from now on
