Chapter 11: I'm here, sweetie. . .

- Thursday 26th, September 2019-
-Location & Time: Krimson City Elementary school, 7AM -
-POV: 3rd Person -

Sebastian: "And here we are sweetie, right on time" the Detective says as his police cruiser rolls up to the School. His daughter sitting in the passenger seat with that familiar sweet smile on her face.

Suzi: "Thanks dad, but how come you took me to school today? I thought you said your job made it too busy to take me" She asks, a bit curious.

Sebastian: "Oh I just got time off work in the mornings recently, so now I can drive you to school now" he lies, obviously not gonna admit the real reason to his 10 year old daughter. "You excited for school?"

Suzi: "Yeah, today we're going to be doing artwork and write our own stories in English" She chirped at her father.

Sebastian: "Sounds fun, I must admit I'm jealous" he chuckles and makes Suzi giggle, only to loose her smile as she looked down. "Hey, whats the matter?"

Suzi: "Well its just I haven't seen one of my friends in 2 days. . . kinda worried about them"

Sebastian: "Oh don't worry sweetie, I'm sure they'll be in today. They probably just been sick for two days" he reassures his daughter.

Suzi: "I hope so, cause he's my best friend"

Sebastian's Mind: "Oh of course its a boy"

Sebastian: "Is he a good kid?" he asks.

Suzi: "Oh yes, he so sweet and kind to me, and we have a lot in common like the love for acting and art. . . though sometimes I believe he's hiding something from everyone. . . Most of the time when I see him and he doesn't see me, he had this same sad looking expression on his face" she explains to her father, who now is actually kinda interested in this boy.

Sebastian: "Well maybe something is bothering him, or maybe something outside of school happened. Everyone hides at least one thing from friends, sweetie. . . . . say, whats this kids name?"

Suzi: "(Y/n). (Y/n) (L/n)"

-Bell rings-

Suzi: "Oh, there's the bell! Cya later daddy!" she chirps, quickly kissing her dad on the cheek before exiting the car. Sebastian's eyes were wide open. Her daughters best friend was the kid he was looking for.

Sebastian: ". . . . . fucking hell" he sighed while putting his head on the steering wheel. Not only was the case giving him stress beyond belief, but now the added part of the kid being suzi's best friend just made it even worse-

Justin (Radio): "Boss, do you copy"

Sebastian snapped out of though as Justin's voice came out the radio, making him jump slightly.

Sebastian: "I copy, Justin. Whats the problem?"

Justin (Radio): "We need you at the station now. We just got news from the nearby Nation park that might relate to the case" he replies through the Radio. Sebastian quickly puts the radio down and shifts into gear, speeding off and towards the station.

- At the Station -

Sebastian: "Okay, Justin. What you got for me?" he asked while walking into his office, along with Justin.

Justin: "Its big boss, and not pretty" he says as the Detective sat behind his desk. Justin the lays a case file next to Sebastian. "We got a call in the early hours of the morning from a ranger outpost in the park. They said last night they heard sounds of Sirens and tree's being knocked over"

Sebastian: "Sirens? Tree's being knocked over. . . . any pictures?"

Justin: "No boss, but there is a audio recording made" he says before walking over to a computer, playing the audio captured. Most of it was just the sound of rain, but soon enough a siren was heard, along with Tree being knocked around. But Sebastian noticed a very faint sound through it all.
