Background information:
Freya, Keelin, Hayley, Rebekah, Davina, and Gia are mothers. Hope found a way to make Rebekah, Davina, and Gia fertile along with Marcel, Kol, and Elijah. Klaus, Hayley, Gia, and Elijah are all alive. This takes place after the originals, Hope is 18. Gia and Elijah are married, and so are Freya and Keelin, they are also married to Vincent. Marcel and Rebekah are married, and Davina and Kol are too. Okay, that's it. Enjoy!
"Where's Nik?" asked Rebekah coming into the courtyard, she was worried they hadn't seen Klaus in a couple of hours and it was usually bad when you don't hear from Klaus in hours.
Rebekah walked up to Hayley with a questioning look, "So? Where is he?" She asked again. "Oh, let me check his schedule. Oh wait not his wife," Hayley said sarcastically, with a smirk. "Really Hayley," said Elijah, coming in behind Rebekah.
"Fine, I'll just call him, you know since there is something called a phone," Hayley said, taking out her phone and pressing buttons. The phone started ringing, then there was a click. "Please leave your message for-," the operator said. "Welp looks like he's busy. Try in an hour or two," said Hayley, putting away her phone and tending to the book she was reading on the couch.
"What are you reading?" asked Gia, she felt that there was weird tension between the two, but she never addressed it. "Just this version of Romeo and Juliet, but this time they don't die," Hayley said, looking up at Gia and then back to the book. "Oh okay," said Gia as she walked away.
The room fell silent once again until there was a slight struggle at the front gate of the compound. "Niklaus, where have you been?" Elijah Demanded as Klaus walked through the gate and into the courtyard. "None of your business brother," Klaus replied and with that, he vamped away and into his art room taking whatever he had with him.
"Nik's being suspicious," said Freya coming into the courtyard, she had seen the whole interaction between him and Elijah. "He is being very secretive and when he is being secretive something is bound to happen, and most of the time for the worst," Vincent said, coming to the courtyard behind Freya, Keelin at his side as well. "Are we coming into the courtyard to discuss Niklaus' actions?" Kol said, entering the courtyard from the kitchen.
"Yes brother, it is highly suspicious and he never keeps anything from me unless it's bad," Elijah said, replying to Kol. "Oh gosh let me guess we have to figure out what he is hiding," Davina said, coming into the courtyard behind Kol.
"Yes, Davina it is safer if we know what he is up to," said Elijah. "My dad's a grown man he can do whatever he wants," said Hope coming into the courtyard, she looked irritated by the conversation that was going on. "Hope, it could be something dangerous that your dad has planned," Vincent said to her hoping she would understand.
"I know my dad, he wouldn't do anything to put any of us in danger, especially when I'm around," Hope said and with that, everyone ended the conversation except Elijah who wanted to believe Hope, but he knew Klaus better than Hope. "I've been with Niklaus for over a thousand years and I know when my brother has something planned, and I would like you to prove me right, or prove yourself right," Elijah said, offering Hope a chance to prove herself.
She liked to show she was better than Elijah, and the rest of her aunts and uncles. "Go to your father and ask him what he is planning, once you get the answer tell us what it was," Gia said, announcing the first challenge.
Hope vamped to her dad's art room and. "Hey Dad," she said, coming up and hugging Klaus from behind. "Hello my littlest wolf," he said, still looking forward to the canvas. He had a paintbrush in his hands and he just needed inspiration for his next painting to do.
"What are you going to paint?" She asked him, knowing he had no idea. "I'm not sure yet, but why are you here love, do you need anything," Klaus asked Hope, she slightly eased into the question. "What are you hiding, everyone knows you are hiding something because you normally don't come in and go straight up, and you don't keep secrets unless they are bad," she said to him, hoping he wouldn't get mad. "I'm not hiding anything," He replied to his daughter who was waiting for an answer. "Then what were the bags for," she asked.
"I have secrets that haven't been out yet, so just calm down and tell them that I'm not hiding anything bad," Klaus said to his daughter, he kissed her head and sent her on her way. As she went back down to inform the family of her dad's actions he looked over the balcony and got his inspiration for the painting.
Klaus picked up the paintbrush again and started to stroke colors onto the canvas, his brush moving quickly as he added more colors and dimensions. Once he was done he stepped back and smiled at the sight of his artwork. One of the best pieces he had ever done, he picked up the still-wet canvas and placed it in a corner to dry.
He was proud of this piece, he locked the doors to the art room so no one could see or damage the painting.
"My dad says that it's nothing to worry about and he said it's not anything bad," Hope tried to explain to her family, but since they were all so stubborn they didn't believe her. "I'll talk to Niklaus myself," Elijah said, walking up to the stairs.
He tugged on the art room's doors, he found it suspicious they were locked. "Niklaus locked the doors," Elijah said furiously. "Will you guys give it a rest, what if for once he isn't doing anything bad," Hayley said, speaking up for Klaus? Klaus could overhear the conversation that was going on, he used his vamp hearing to see if his family believed him.
He smiled at hearing Hayley stick up for him, he then went on to open what was in the bags he had brought home. "Maybe you're right Hayley, but I wouldn't be so certain you know how my brother is," Rebekah added.
"Fine. I'll go ask myself," Hayley said standing up. She walked over to the room Klaus had gone into, she stopped at the door and knocked. After waiting for an answer she heard the door peek open, Klaus was in the crack of the door. "Yes, little wolf?" He asked. "What are you hiding, cause I would say you're not hiding anything but the fact that you won't open your door all the way is concerning," Hayley said to him on the other side of the cracked door. "I can't open it fully because I'm changing," he said, Hayley knew he was lying she knew his lying face too well by now.
"You're the most open Mikealson I ever met besides Kol, so please I'm not falling for the changing thing," she said, pushing open the door.
He quickly moved everything off his bed and under it at vamp speed. "Klaus for crying out loud, what are you hiding," said Hayley, demanding to know. "Fine, since no one seems to trust me and can never just let me do my own thing. It's something good, that's all I'm saying," Klaus said irritated.
Hayley stepped closer to him, cupping her hands around his jawline. "Klaus, do you trust me?" Hayley asked him, looking into his deep blue-green eyes. He looked back into the bright hazel eyes, "I trust you more than you know little wolf," He said.
"I believe what you are hiding isn't anything bad, okay? Don't prove me wrong," she put herself into his chest and wrapped her arms around him. He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her forehead, breathing in her scent.
