chapter five...
RATS ON A TRAIN!⚛︎
𝖲𝖳𝖠𝖭𝖣𝖨𝖭𝖦 𝖡𝖤𝖲𝖨𝖣𝖤 the three bionics, their mentor — Donald Davenport, Leo, and Max had yet been forced against her well to rush over at the mansion due to her best friend's constant nagging about a really awesome experience his stepfather had in store for the trio. Obviously being a part of this meant she had to participate in every single thing that's being demonstrated by the self-centered billionaire himself.
No matter how extremely arrogant he could be, she would have to learn to suffer from it. "Okay, guys. The next phase of your training is handling extreme climates." he began the explanation, which Max easily followed so far. "So we'll frost Chase, bake Bree, and submerge Adam. That's not part of the training, I just got one of those carnival dunk tanks and I can't wait to try it out."
"Rock, paper, scissors for who gets to go first?" Max questions before they noticed Chase had already been the first to commit on this project. "Or not..."
"Okay, Chase, I'm setting your tube on 'Antarctic.' If it gets to be too much, just give me a sign." the man explained to his youngest son before turning the dial on the cyber desk.
"Bring it!" Chase confidently told as his tube began to power up.
"Hey, that's not fair. I want to be abused by weather." said Leo, who had a frowny face.
Max nodded. "Me too! Is there any way I could physically experience a tornado?" she asks, hoping it could be possible.
"If you guys really want to be abused, try standing over here next to Adam's morning breath." Bree told, practically giving both normal teens a challenge on possibly sending them into a small coma from her older brother's breath.
He scoffs at his sister's words. "I don't have morning breath. It smells like that all day." and corrected this, thinking it would make things better in their case scenario.
Donald turns to face his stepson and friend. "Leo, Max, these guys are genetically engineered to handle these kinds of climates. You're both not."
"Well, how to make it obvious, Mr. Genius."
Leo shook his head. "I can handle extreme cold."
"Leo, you get brain freeze from chewing mint gum. Remember what happened at school?" he points out, seeing as that kind of information was spoken by Max herself due to last week's incident at school.
The brunette with purple-dyed streaks chuckles. "It was utterly horrifying to watch, yet also hilarious in my opinion." she happily remarks that day, where a glare is sent her way. "But still terrible..."
Just when Leo could start their bickering, Donald's phone rang. "Davenport..." and once he answered it, something didn't go well in Max's eyes as she noticed the man's face becoming a mixture of worry and confusion. "What!?" he shouted into the device.
"Something's definitely wrong."
"As if the dramatic 'What!?' wasn't obviously, M." Leo harshly mocked as he earned a small punch towards the arm and watched the Davenport continue his urgent phone call.
"That's terrible!" he spoke through the panic of his tone. "I mean, that's awesome, but that's terrible!" hs constantly repeated and took a few steps forward, then backwards, making the teens do the same while being confused and impatient towards the man's freak out. "I-I gotta do something."
