Her hands put together, kneeling on the floor, her arms on the edge of her bed.
Her tears were making a stain on the fluffy off-white blanket, but at the moment, she didn't really care.
All she wanted was to get some sign to let her know that she must keep going.
That she must stay alive, reach for her dreams and desires, that she can't just give up now, after putting so much work into this whole being an idol thing. Her whole life she's dreamt of this, but reality isn't all so nice.
So many failed auditions, so many people saying that hey, Haruka, Airi, Shizuku are all so talented! But Minori... Just.. doesn't really fit in with the other girls, all of which were almost like they were made to be famous. To perform on stage, to talk with fans, to have this image of themselves that Minori just can't imagine herself having.
She doesn't have what it takes, she never did and probably never will. Yet a faint light of hope beamed over her. Was it the encouragement of Haruka and the others, or was it something else?
Perhaps a divine being from the heavens above, the one who may take Minori up to the gates of the life she's always wished for, or the one to decline her, in return, sending her to the depths of hell?
But did it really matter now? She was a teenager, a child, she shouldn't be thinking like that. All these worries, but she was only 16. This isn't how she's supposed to be acting!
She buried her face in her hands before taking a deep breath and getting up from the floor.
The girl picked up her phone, the screen displaying a row of numbers and a few notifications, one being a text message from Airi.
Airi: "Hey Minori! Practise starts in 20 be there or be square :p"
"You dont need to bring anything btw! Shizuku picked up the outfits and Haruka said she'll get there early to check up on everything :)"And.. that was sent 10 minutes ago, meaning Minori should get going just about now.
"Thanks Airi!!! Sorry I might be late, I'll try get there as soon as I can tho :D Sorry!!!!"
She typed up a quick reply before turning the phone off and going to make sure she looks decent in the mirror.
Nearly tripping down the stairs, she grabbed her coat, the bag that she had prepared the night before and headed to the concert venue.
The weather was nice, the sun shining, not hidden behind the fluffy clouds in the sky. It really was a perfect day for a festival.
The summer breeze brushed against her skin, her chestnut brown hair flowing against the wind. The people around, all in a rush to get to their jobs, homes, maybe going to see their grandchildren; the possibilities are almost endless.
She ran across the street, past the hassle of the large Japan city.
A small crowd was already starting to form, teenagers, adults and children around chit chatting, some even moving to the energetic track playing.
Behind the people, standing tall and proud was the colorful stage. Decorated with vibrant banners and flags hanging from the top of the stage, the impressive technical equipment by the back and the large speakers to really make this a memorable day for everyone.
Minoris mouth was left agape - seeing such settings wasn't all that new to her, considering she's been performing with More More Jump for quite some time now, but the area and atmosphere really got her fired up. The performance will go great.
She flinched out of her thoughts and back to reality when a female voice called out her name.
"Minori! You're just in time, we're going up third so we have some time to go through some other preparations beforehand!" the deep blue haired girl spoke in an enthusiastic tone.
