I sat at the desk searching things up on my laptop. I needed to get to the bottom of what mom meant, and I had the google for demigods. 'Google for demigods?' you might ask. It's basically a google that has answers for demigods and not humans. What would that be? For example if you wanted to learn how to kill a monster before a dangerous quest, all you had to do was use demigod google and you had the answer. It's quite useful.
Anyway, back to what I was originally talking about. I googled things like 'What makes Demeter kids special?' and 'How could a child of Demeter save Olympus?' for hours while my brother was asleep on one of the beds.
After about three hours, I decided to take a break. I walked over to the brown leathered sofa and sat down, thinking about what had occurred that morning before me and Koen had left in tears. It had started when Abraham, a son of Ares, had went up to us while we were in the strawberry fields.
~Flashback~
"Hey, breadsticks!" Abraham yelled across the strawberry field. Me and Koen looked at each other, clearly annoyed that our peace was interrupted. We looked back at the son of Ares with a glare.
"What do you want, Abraham?" Koen asked. He had been in the middle of talking about new training methods with me, and how we would have to learn them in case of emergencies. I walked over by my twins side.
Abraham said nothing as he made his way over to us and grabbed Koen's shoulders and threw him to the ground.
"You're so weak! Demeter kid's are so stupid, what are you going to do? Turn me into bread or something?"
Rage filled my veins as I saw him smack my brother, and I pulled out my dagger from my holster. I ran up from behind and jumped on the 15-year-old's back, putting my dagger to his neck.
Abraham stumbled backwards and fell on his butt, leaving me to accidentally slash his throat in a small, sideways cut. He yelled and threw me off his back. I landed on the ground about two feet away. Koen had gotten up at this point and tackled him from behind. I was about to join him, but I realized that I couldn't move my arm without pain flaring from within. I looked toward it and noticed a large gash about an inch deep running from my shoulder to my elbow, and realized I had been sliced by a rock.
Looking back at the fight, I saw Chiron running up, yelling Koen's and Abraham's names. Black dots filled my vision as blood seeped from my arm, and the last thing I remembered was seeing Abraham push Koen away.
~Flashback over~
I looked at my arm where the scar was. It had almost completely gone away from the ambrosia and nectar healing. My eyes shut and I leaned my head back against the wall.
I thought about how the meeting with mom had went. Even though I had never expected to meet her, I still felt as if I should have said more. A small tear fell from my closed eyelid before I even realized I had been tearing up.
