April 5th, 2029 The office was chilly and dry with the air confitioning on, although it was spring. April was a pleasant month. Certainly not for Matt & Co. though.
Doormatt picked up his phone from the desk, and sat down. He put his coffee down, stretching his arms.

He had brown hair and stunning dark eyes. Honestly, he could be a model if he quit attorney work. He had a nice vest that went along well with his suit. He had a blue bowtie and wore a marron colored coat. There is a reason why he won all his cases after all. The prosecution and witnesses were simply distracted by the likes of Doormatt. He was charming, an interesting person overall.

Suddenly, Doormatt had gotten a call. He sighed and reluctantly answered it, putting his phone to his ear. Doormat cleared his throat before speaking.

"Hello, this is Matt & Co. offices, how can I help?"

He paused. "I see. We have one available lawyer as if right now, but he's a rookie. I hope that's fine." He frowned and took a sip of his coffee. Doormatt scratched his head.

"Ah. Difficult? That's alright. I'm sure he can handle it. I'm sending him to the detention center shortly. Thanks. Bye bye."

He sighed and dialed his apprentice's ringtone, Sidefall Worthy. He had a purple-ish suit with a black tie as well as silky light brown hair. His hair would glow in the sunlight as he sadly cried about not being paid from his last two clients. He was a pretty normal dude other than his unhealthy Two Puzzle obsession. He sort of just sat there and existed, up until he became a lawyer. Sidefall entered the office door and waved at Doormatt, wiping his shoes on the door mat. He quickly adjusted up his tie and sat down on a couch.

"Hey chief. A new client?" He asked, sitting down on the couch. He stretched his arms. Doormatt took a sip of coffee and fixed his posture.

"Yeah. It's your first murder trial and I heard the  client is a bit.. difficult." Doormatt put down his cofee cup.

Sidefall shrugged. "I'm sure I'll be fine," he said putting on his attorney badge. He opened the door.

"Do we have any information?" Sidefall looked at him before stepping out of the room. Doormatt took another sip. "Trial starts tomorrow and visiting hours are almost over," he said calmly.

Sidefall on the other hand was not very calm.

"Gotta scram then, see you Chief. I won't forget to pick up Red this time," he said, closing the door behind him. Doormatt just shrugged and drank a bit of his coffee again.

Red was a spirit medium from a clan up in the mountains. He had fluffy silver hair with red streaks and occasionally wore a kitsune mask. He also wore a uniform that sort of looked like a kimono thing everyday that identified him as a spirit medium. Sidefall met him after he defended him at a trial. To be honest, Red wasn't the best at interrogation or anything, but he was great at finding evidence.

"So, the client is a high school delinquent, is known for getting in trouble, and was at the scene of the crime during the time of death? Seriously? Why would you take this case?" Red sighed.

"Maybe I'll get paid this time," he shrugged, opening the door to the visitors room. Red just sighed again, rolled his eyes, and followed along.

On the other side of the glass was a boy with scruffy cream hair and a blue and white racing jacket on. He had the vibe of 'i hate everything grrr im so angry'. This was apparently the suspect of the case. Thunder Underline. Odd name, but makes sense why there's a lightning symbol on the racing jacket. Sidefall sat on the visitor's chair. He was sort of nervous, with the death stare he was being given. He looked at Red and then looked back. I can handle this kid, he thought.
