I move into position to catch ruby, and she is suddenly knocked out of the sky by something moving at a considerable velocity.
Blake: Did your sister just fall from the sky?
Y/n: Yep.
We hear growling coming from the tree line. I ready my sword but lower it when I see the ursa wildly swinging at, nothing. There was an explosion on its back, and as it falls, the ginger haired girl from this morning rolls off it. The black-haired guy comes out from behind it as well and says something to her. She had disappeared. We hear her behind us and turn around. She inspects, and then collects, a rook piece. Singing about being the "Queen of the castle" or something.
Ren: NORA!
Nora: Coming Ren!
Well at least we knew their names now.
Blake: Did that girl just ride on an ursa?
Y/n: Yep.
Yang: I-
We hear MORE roaring, and what we see is Pyrrha being chased by a deathstalker. I hate those damn things. Too many eyes, y'know? She dodges its claws, and yells something. Did she say Jaune? While pondering this, Ruby Rolls over to us after jumping out of a tree
Yang: Ruby?
Ruby: Yang!
Nora: Nora!
We were brought back to the current events by the deathstalker angrily snapping its pincers at Pyrrha. We should probably do something.
Blake: Did she just run all the way here with a deathstalker on her tail?
Y/n: Yep.
Yang clearly had enough of this shit and activated her semblance. Throwing fire around.
Yang: I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something crazy happens again?
We wait precisely two seconds, before Ruby directs our attention to something crazy happening, much to Yangs apparent dismay. The crazy thing happening was Weiss hanging off the talon of a nevermore, and I could only assume that said nevermore was also where Ruby had descended from. Weiss yelled something that I couldn't make out, but Ruby could understand.
Ruby: I said 'Jump'.
Blake: She's gonna fall.
Ruby: She'll be fine.
Ren: She's falling.
Weiss was indeed falling. But who comes to her rescue? None other than Jaune, who jumped from a tree and caught her midair. The pair comically hung in the sky for a few moments, before abruptly reaching almost terminal velocity, and landing on the ground. After that, Pyrrha got thrown at us by the deathstalker.
Yang: Great! The gangs all here! Now we can die together!
Y/n: Great! Let's die together!
Ruby: Not if I can help it!
Ruby takes off towards the deathstalker, Crecent Rose at the ready. She propels herself forward by firing her gun, but the deathstalker simply knocks her out of the air. Crecent Rose wouldn't have done anything to it, even if she hit it. The armor is too thick to be penetrated by most things.
Ruby: Don't worry! Totally fine!
She was not totally fine. Once she was standing, she fired at the Grimm, which simply bounced off its armor. She returned her weapon to its compact form and started running. Yang took off towards her as well. The nevermore flew over and launched its feathers at them. One of the projectiles stuck Ruby's cloak to the ground, while the rest blocked Yangs way. The deathstalker raised its stinger to strike.
