Foxete's POV:
I was allowed back on the ship briefly. Just for the day. Just to see how I'd do. Keeva found her perfect wedding dress. The dress-guy gave up on trying to find a dress for me, so I just 'have to wear a suit'. Things were looking up. I'm just sitting in the kitchen making myself a sandwich. Decent food.
'Foxete.' I hear a very familiar gravely voice whisper.
The hair on my arms stand up.
It's just my brain. Ignore it.'Don't ignore me, Foxete. I am here.'
I curse quietly to myself. My head pounds.
'Foxete!' The voice is more harsh.
"Go away." I say out loud.
'No.'
I shake my head. I'm imagining it.
I stand up and walk to Icey's old room. Apparently she left the ship. I have yet to see her. She never... fit in with the crew. She was too much of a pacifist.
'Don't ignore me. I'm apart of you now.' Freddy's voice laughs.
I ignore him , turn around and walk into the bathroom instead to throw cold water on my face. My new room can wait.
'Boo.' He whispers harshly right against my ear.
I gasp and look to my right.
I'm going insane. I am insane. I'm crazy. I'm nuts! I've lost my god damn mind.
I look into the mirror.
I'm... distorted... Like a glitch."Why are my eyes...." I stare into my now green eyes.
Freddy appears behind me in the mirror, 'I told you. I'm apart of you~'
I scream.
Illoha's POV:
I hear a short, but bloodcurdling scream from the bathroom. Fox is under the sink hyperventilating. Her eyes shut. Her mumbling something too fast for me to understand. I stop to my knees in front of her.
"Hey, hey breathe." I comfort her.
She opens her eyes wide. They're a faint green, not their usual yellow color."Fox... what...." I whisper.
"Help." Her ears tuck as she begins to sob, "I'm going crazy!"I pull her into a hug, she doesn't fight me.
"I'm scared, Princess." She whispers.
"Nothings gonna happen to you." I gently stroke her hair, "I promise."I quietly text Dex:
"Come here. Now."I look at my sobbing ex-girlfriend...
What the hell did he do to you?
Dex's POV:
About an hour after Foxete's mental breakdown we're sitting in Kreko's office. Me, Fox, and Illoha.
"So, you're telling me that Foxete's eyes were green?" He shakes his head.
"Yeah. They weren't the golden color they usually are." Illoha sighs. He turns to Fox, "Do you remember this?"
She shakes her head but doesn't say a word. She hasn't spoken since she 'woke up'. She's practically trembling.Kreko sighs, "You're in no condition to be leaving the hospital. You'll be lucky if you even get to go to Keeva's wedding."
"But she's a bridesmaid!" Illoha scoffs.
"Her health is more important, no?"
"What about Dex's wedding?" Fox asks quietly. She gives me a small smile."If I'm not mistaken, that will be on Enolva." He crosses his arms.
"Yeah, it won't happen until you're all good." I nod."Dismissed. Illoha bring Foxete back to the hospital. She will be put back into therapy twice a day." Kreko commands.
Fox groans, but goes willingly.Kreko turns to me once they leave, "She's a hazard. You have to make a move on Freddy, with or without her."
"Yeah, I'm starting to get the feeling she won't be up for leading within the next few weeks."
Kreko nods, "Don't tell her plans. If Freddy did do something to her, she may be compromised."
I sigh, "Got cha."
"Dismissed."Fox, you gotta get better. I can't keep leading the crew.
