Jade Grey

Sunday, 3:36pm:

When Nate said somebody would be watching me, I didn't know it would be four guys, all watching me like hawks. They haven't even introduced themselves, I've been standing here eating all the food for ten minutes.

"You know, if I was going to try and escape through the window, I would have tried it by now." I comment, chewing on pop tarts.

"Just precautions babe, you would have tried but failed anyway." The one wearing nothing but black chuckles, leaning against the closed door.

"What makes you so sure?" I frown, shoving more pop tarts into my mouth.

"Because it's four against one, baby girl, four guys against one girl." The tall one interferes, I just glare at them all and continue feeding my hunger.

"Can you at least make conversation or put some music on? It's too quiet." I ask, they just laugh and resume staring at me in silence.

I sigh in defeat and move on to Doritos.

4:02pm:

"Okay I'm stuffed, I'm done." I groan, slumping in my chair.

"You ate for all of us." The blonde exclaims, pointing at the empty chip packets and wrappers and all kinds of empty boxes.

"He said the kitchen was mine," I shrug, standing up.

They could at least give me some comfortable clothes, a dress with a food baby is not something I'm okay with. "Can I go now? The quicker my boss says yes, the quicker I can go home."

They all look at eachother. "Angel, your boss sold you out." One announces sympathetically.

I furrow my eyebrows, shaking my head. "How do you know? You haven't even left this room to find out, David is probably still in there!" I argue, they all shake their heads.

One pulls out his ear piece. "He left twenty minutes ago."

I shake my head in disbelief. "I don't believe you, I demand to speak with Nate." I snap, slamming my hand down on the marble counter. The blonde one leaves for my demand.

I sit there patiently until he and Nate walk in. "I want to speak to David, he probably never even came, that's why you've kept me in here."

"Free of charge Jade, the asshole sold you out." Nate picks his phone out of his pocket and unlocks it before handing me it with the number already ringing.

"What do you want now?" I hear my boss asks, I grit my teeth.

"Please tell me you haven't just been at Nathan Maloley's house." I plead, he sighs.

"Jade, you're a tough girl, you'll get out but you have to understand that your colleagues needed this money just as much as you. You have to think about others in this game."

"What happened to me being your best worker? Your best girl? You fucking promised you'd look out for me." I yell, my eyes watering.

"I'm sorry-"

"Well sorry doesn't fuckin' cut it, what about my mom? Huh? She relied on me!" I scream before launching the phone at the wall.

"Aye!" Nate calls, I scoff and shove past him. The guys hold me back just as I make it to the door. "Give her space guys." He orders, they let me go.

I walk around the bottom floor, looking for the front door until finally I find it. Locked.

I check the living room windows, locked too.

Every escape route locked.
