Long chapter..smut warning..daddy kink.

Jade Grey

Sunday, 2:04pm:

I pace the floorboards, twirling my hair around my finger whilst holding my phone to my ear. When the phone continues ringing, I rub my hand against my forehead and urge her to pick up the phone. When she does, she coughs and clears her throat. "Mom?"

"S-Sweetie, where are you?" She asks, sounding either tired or weak.

"Mom did I wake you?" I ask, biting down on my lower lip. "I can call back later."

"No sweetie, I've just got back from chemo. I'm fine to talk, how are you?" She asks, breathing heavily.

I shake my head. "Mom I can call you later, it isn't a problem, take a nap."

She chuckles a wheezy laugh, coughing afterwards. "I'm the mom here, I'm supposed to be telling you what to do."

I laugh a little and sit down on the floor infront of the window wall, over looking Vegas. "Is the treatment helping? We can get you more if it's not, money isn't a problem."

She coughs. "Yes it's working just fine sweetie, so how are you?" She asks.

"I'm just worried about you, but guess what mom?" I hug my knees close to my chest, analysing the city building by building.

"What sweetie?"

"I'm in Vegas." I weakly smile, crossing my legs.

I don't want to seem like I'm showing off or making her feel bad for not being able to walk far from her bed. Since my teenage years, I'd always talk to my mom about going to Vegas when I'm old enough, I wanted to see the bright lights and all the fun people within the city. She promised she'd take me one day, for a birthday or when she had the money to. I want her to know how happy I am, because I know how my happiness makes her happy.

"Mom?" I say, realising she hadn't spoke again since I told her.

A snivel blurts down the line, I place my hand on my forehead. "Mom don't cry, please don't cry. I thought that would make you happy. Nate and I made some money Mom, when you're better I will take you, I promise Mom." Hearing her cry brings tears to my eyes, I squeeze my eyes closed to avoid the tears from falling.

A hand smooths down my shoulder, I look up through my watery eyes and see Nate crouched down behind me in just his boxers. Droplets of water fall from strands of his wet hair, he looks hot after a shower but right now my mind is occupied on my mother.

"I'm fine sweetie, I'm just really happy for you. I know I promised you I'd take you and I'm sorry for letting you do-"

"Don't even say it Mom, don't say that." Nate sits down with his legs either side of me and hugs me close to his chest, seeing how upset I'm getting.

"I'm happy for you sweetie, just don't lose all your money." She weakly chuckles.

I giggle, wiping my nose. "I won't Mom, I promise. I'm gonna' win even more for you,"

Nate kisses the top of my head, stroking my skin with his thumb, soothing me nicely. "Mom I love you but I want you to sleep, you need to sleep. I'll call you tomorrow, I love you."

"Okay sweetie, I love you too. Enjoy yourself, don't worry about me," We change another round of goodbyes before hanging up.

As soon as her voice disappears, I drop my phone on the floor and snivel into Nate's chest. "Nate, w-we need to get her more treatments, she doesn't sound too good." He kisses my temple gently, stroking my back and thigh.
