Chapter 13

"Kids dinner" my dad yelled. I huffed. "Be nice" Caleb said. Nash started laughing his ass off. Let's just say I have no filter, but Caleb does. I rolled my eyes and stomped down the stairs. I saw Meredith sitting at the table. Seriously? I have to go eat dinner with the woman that ruined my parents marrige? "Stassie" my dad said. I walked into the kitchen. "What" I said with an attitude. "Loose the attitude Missy" he said. "Loose the girl sitting at our table" I said. "Stas" he trailed off. "Don't stas me. You told me last week that you regret what you did to mom and now she's sitting at our table!" I said. "Yes u regret cheating on your mom. But I don't regret leaving your mom. Me and your mom were unhappy for a really long time." He said. "Whatever" I said walking out of the kitchen.

I sat next to nash. He put his hand on my thigh rubbing it trying to calm me down. It did calm me. My dad came in and we were all silent. "So nash are you still in highschool." My dad said. "Ugh actually I do online school but yes I'm still finishing." He said nervously. My dad nodded. We were silent through the whole dinner nobody knew what to say. It was finally over and I just needed to get out of here. "Caleb want to go get ice cream or something." I whispered to him. He nodded. "Go get you shoes on" he ran upstairs.

Caleb ran back downstairs and we started walking towards the door. "Where are you going?" My dad asked. "Anywhere but here." I said rolling my eyes and walking out of the house. I walked to my car. "I'm driving" nash said taking the keys out of my hand. I walked to the passenger seat and got in. Caleb was in the backseat and nash was driving
"Are you OK?" He asked worried. "I'm fucking perfect" I yelled in aggravation. Nash took my hand and started rubbing it with his thumb. "Its going to be OK" he said. I smiled a little bit. "Caleb where do you want to go?" I asked turning around in my seat. "Ice cream" he yelled. Me and nash laughed. Nash turned on the music. We drove to this little ice cream shop.

We all ordered our ice cream. I gave the cashier money before nash could. "Staassss" he whined. "You paid the other night. My turn" I said smiling. We walked to the table and I handed caleb his ice cream. "Thank you" he said. "You're welcome" I said. Nash leaned over a kissed me. "Thank you" he whispered. "Ewww stop" caleb yelled and tried to cover his eyes. I laughed and pushed nash away.

We ate our ice cream and laughed. We went back to the car and started driving I looked out my window and thought. These two people make me the happiest. I had a horrible frigging night but the two of them made it better. Spending time with nash and caleb makes me the happiest. "What are you thinking about?" Nash asked. "Nothing" I said smiling.

We got back to my house and meredith was still there. "Are you fucking serious" I yelled. "Do you want to come back to my house" nash asked. "He's not going to let me" I said rolling my eyes. I looked at the time. Its only seven. "Caleb do you want to stay here or go back to moms?" I asked him. "Wait what" nash said. "I don't want to be here with Meredith." He said. I took my phone out and dialed my mom.

"Mom can me and caleb come home" I asked here. "What why" she said sounding worried. "I'll tell you later. Can I just drive us back to your house please." I said. "Not until you tell me what's going on stassie." She said. "Dad has Meredith over mom. We had to eat dinner with her. After that I took caleb to go get ice cream because we didn't want to be there but she's still here." I said aggravated." "I'm sorry honey. Of course you guys can come home. Be careful and if your father says anything just ignore him and leave." She said sounding mad at the last part. "OK I love you mom." I said hanging up.

"Go get your stuff caleb. If dad says anything ignore him and come back out here." I said he nodded and walked in the house. "Your really going to drive an hour. When your this upset?" Nash said sounding worried. "I'll be fine" I said. "I'm sorry nash. We won't have tomorrow together but I can't stay here right now." I said sadly. I got out if the car and so did nash. I walked over to his side. "Ill drive down to see you tomorrow" he said pulling me into him. "Really" I asked smiling. "Of course" he said leaning down and kissing me. "Are you sure you're going to be ok driving that far." He asked pulling all away. "I'll be ok. I'll call you when I get home ok." I said. "You better" he smiled. "Bye nash." "Bye baby girl" he said kissing me. He walked back to his house and caleb came walking out if ours. "He's really mad" he said worried. "Get in the car I'll be out in a minute" I said.

I walked into the house. "You're a spoiled brat you know that!" He screamed at me. I walked past him. He grabbed my wrist "don't walk away!" He screamed in my face. I could smell the alcohol in his breath. He squeezed my wrist hard. "Stop your hurting me" I yelled trying to pull away. He wouldn't let go. Meredith yelled at him to stop. That caught his attention. I ran upstairs crying. I grabbed my stuff quickly. "Stassie I'm sorry" meredith said to me. I just ignored him and ran out the door crying. "What happened" caleb asked. "Nothing" I said wiping away my tears. "Let's go" I said starting the car.
