Chapter 58

Hello there! It's been a while! School sucks! But as of today, its over! And in 3 months, I'll officially be a senior! But enough with me! It's time for the story! (Beforehand, this chapter goes into a bit of unknown lore about Dream's childhood. It doesn't go that deep though. I'll probably flesh it out a bit further with a backstory chapter.)

CHAPTER WHATEVER!
Shinso had questions. He wanted to know more about Dream, he just didn't feel like he had enough information to have an opinion on the guy. He finds Eret reading a book on the couch.
Hey...Eret?(Shinso)
Eret looks up from the book.
Yeah? Whats up?(Eret)
Do...You think you could tell me more about Dream?(Shinso)
Eret stares at him for a second, before sighing.
I was...on his side once upon a time...(Eret)
Shinso's eyes widen.
Wait really?!(Shinso)
Eret nods.
Yeah...Remember how I told you that I was king of one of the areas back in our world?(Eret)
Shinso nods.
Well, I was put into power after I betrayed Tommy's group. Of course, overtime, Tommy forgave me and I betrayed Dream. After that...Well, Dream and I didn't really speak to each other. If you really want to know more about his personality...then you should probably ask, Puffy, Sapnap or Punz. (Eret)
Why?(Shinso)
Eret sighs.
Puffy adopted Dream for a bit, Sapnap had been friends with him for about 10 years, and Punz had worked for him for a few years.(Eret)
Shinso nods and decides to walk to Sapnap's house.

15 minutes later
Shinso stands in front of Sapnap's door. He sighs and knocks. Seconds later, the door opens to a yawning Sapnap.
Hey? What're you doing here?(Sapnap)
Shinso gulps.
I want to know more about Dream.(Shinso)
Sapnap sighs and lets Shinso into his house.  Shinso sits down on one of the chairs and Sapnap gets him a glass of water. Sapnap then sits down too.
Where to start...Where to start...(Sapnap)
How did you meet him?(Shinso)
He came to George and I's village, he couldn't have been more than 6 years old, He had lost his memory and woke up in a field of flowers. Dream just sort of stuck with us for a while. We called him Smiley, because it seemed like he was always happy. He was...a pacifist at first...never wanted to hurt anything, but he was very strong...He helped me in a lot of sticky situations and eventually was fine with killing monsters and animals!(Sapnap)
Then what?(Shinso)
He left. He remembered everything, told us he had to go, and left. 10 years later and he returns, a lot taller and with a smiley mask. He introduces us to a few people, Ponk, Punz, Sam...whose dead now.... a lot of stuff happened. Sometime after Eret was put on the throne, Dream dethroned him and put George on the throne, but only a week later, Dream changed his mind for some reason and put Eret back. I don't know why, and I don't think I ever will. But...after that, George and I sort of broke off from him. George and I were just so angry, he had changed for whatever reason. We thought at first that he would come back and apologize and we would go back to the way things were before.... (Sapnap)
I guessing he didn't.(Shinso)
Sapnap nods.
Yeah...Dream just went fucking insane, he hurt so many people, and then... after Dream was put in prison, I said something that I never wish I had. I told him, I'd kill him if he ever escaped. And after that...well...I never saw him after that.(Sapnap)
Sapnap sighs.
I truly don't know what I'll do if I meet him in this world.(Sapnap)
Shinso sighs as well.
Wow...(Shinso)
Sapnap nods.
Yeah...I know...(Sapnap)
Sapnap looks at his watch.
I have a client coming in about 10 minutes. Something about their house burning down. You should probably leave beforehand.(Sapnap)
Shinso nods and says his goodbyes. He starts to walk home.
Now I need to know why he went insane. Sapnap said he was a Pacifist when they first met!(Shinso)
He decides to go to Puffy's next. But before that, he grabs his bike from Eret's house. 

35 minutes later

Shinso knocks on Puffy's door and rings the doorbell. No one answers the door.
I guess she must be out...(Shinso)
His phone rings. Puffy's calling him. He answers.
Hello?(Shinso)
Hey Shinso! I got a notification from my doorbell thing that you were there!(Puffy)
Wait what?(Shinso)
My doorbell has a camera, it tells me whenever someone rings and I can see who it is! (Puffy)
Shinso sighs.
When do you think you'll be back?(Shinso)
Oh in a few minutes! I was out getting groceries!(Puffy)
Okay then. See you in a sec.(Shinso)
Puffy hangs up on him and he waits. About ten minutes later, Puffy's car came into the driveway. She steps out carrying a few bags of various food. She smiles at Shinso.
What did you need me for?(Puffy)
I wanted to know more about Dream.(Shinso)
Puffy sighs as she opens the door to her house.
Well then...Come on in.(Puffy)
Shinso sits down at the table in her dining room. Puffy speaks while she puts away groceries.
What do you want to know?(Puffy)
Well Eret said you adopted him at one point. Could you tell me a bit more about that?(Shinso)
Puffy nods.
Yeah...it all started when I first came to the area. I wanted to first build a house before I really met with everyone else. Though at times, it did feel like I was being watched. Turns out...I was, Dream had gotten curious at the new arrival and decided to watch what I was doing. He actually did it for quite a while, and as he just sort of followed me around, I called him my little duckling! After a while he stopped following me. And at that point I began to meet everyone. They of course told me everything he had done, but I believed I could change his mindset for the better. So whenever I saw him I'd smile and wave, sometimes he'd come to me and tell me how he was doing. There was a period of peace, I felt like I'd really gotten through to him. Until... Tommy's exile.(Puffy)
Shinso leans in a bit further.
I remember Tommy mentioning it, but he wouldn't really go into it.(Shinso)
Puffy sighs.
I was Tommy's therapist after the exile. He told me what Dream made him do, about the manipulation, the abuse, and just everything...I couldn't believe it, Tommy was so traumatized. So I split off ties with him. And eventually met Foolish, who I then did adopt officially.(Puffy)
Puffy looks at the floor.
I don't really want to talk about this anymore...(Puffy)
Shinso nods.
Okay then, thanks for telling me as much as you could.(Shinso)
What will you do now?(Puffy)
Probably just go home. And think.(Shinso)
Puffy smiles.
Well then, I hope your thinking goes great.(Puffy)
Shinso laughs softly and leaves. He gets on his bike and pedals back home. Eret's not in the house when he arrives. Shinso goes to his room and lays down on his bed.
It sounds like Dream had a pretty good life, with great friends too. So why would he go and manipulate people? I think...I need to speak with Punz. (Shinso)
Shinso sighs and closes his eyes, eventually falling asleep. But he wouldn't be able to talk to Punz the next day....

So here's the thing...the Dream Smp is over...:( ...meaning Doctor who has taken over my life. Not that this is a bad thing, the fanfic will be completed, it's two years old now, I'm not giving up, besides, I've known what the ending would since I started officially writing it, but updates will be slow. Not slow as in, once a month, but slow as in, probably once every two weeks. In the meantime, if anyone likes the two fandoms, I have a Doctor who x Marvel fanfic coming out soon! So, I'LL SEE ALL YOU LOSERS NEXT TIME! (Lol, I'm 17 now, meaning the rest of the people who still read this, have grown up, not so little anymore!)

SIDE STORY TIME!

My Partner:...Well shit...

My Partner: isn't that next year?

Me...Yeah, but still!

My partner: I mean if you want to, sure!
