3rd Person POV:

"Hey, Aly." Harumi smiled, and Aly immediately lost it.

"Get out of my house." She snapped, quickly standing up which made Harumi subtly back away. "I-" "Don't, talk to me. Whatever you have to say I don't wanna hear about it-" Aly walked towards her, about to chase her out when Zane quickly stepped in. "Aly." "Zane, move." "I'm afraid I will not." He responded, wearing a stern expression. Aly was speechless, and Zane could tell she was about to lose her temper.

"I apologise, Rumi. Will you excuse us?" He asked, earning a somewhat frightened nod from Harumi. "Thank you." Zane turned back to Aly and guided her out the room and down the hall where she sharply turned to him.

"Why is she here?!" Aly asked, clearly agitated. "Before I answer, please take a moment to breathe. I do not wish to argue with you." He told her, which didn't help in the slightest. Aly did breathe, but not in the sense Zane meant. Yet, he didn't comment on it. "Harumi wishes to make amends with you." "She what?" Aly spoke, not believing that.

"She wants to get to know you again." Zane repeated. "While we have been away, she has made improvements to both herself and to her actions, and believes it is time to reconnect with you." He explained, which was the truth, she had changed, but Aly still wasn't buying it. "Like I'm going to believe that!" She shot back. "She's lied countless times. She's lying to you by saying that!" "That is untrue." Zane protested. "Lloyd has been keeping a close eye on her while she worked on herself. It was Lloyd who informed me that Harumi wished to fix your friendship."

Aly rolled her eyes. Of course it was Lloyd; he was in love with her once upon a time, of course he'd believe that. "Of course Lloyd believes her." Aly mumbled, rolling her eyes. "Aly, please. I know how much you struggle to trust, but...this time you must trust her." Zane insisted, trying to refrain from raising his voice. Aly thought, and realised Zane wasn't going to give up for whatever reason.

She huffed. "Well then can't we just do this after-" "I would rather not." Zane quickly interrupted her, looking down at her before gently holding her waist. "Why not?" Aly shot back as she felt Zane using his power to try and cool her temper. "Because..." Zane sighed, closing his eyes while trying to stay grounded so he wouldn't start a proper argument. Aly wasn't listening to him, and he couldn't tell her the truth which was only making this more difficult for him.

"Please, Aly." He spoke, looking back to meet her narrowed eyes. "I am not one to push, or to lose my temper. Just...do this, and I will not ask anything more of you...Please."

Aly couldn't understand what had gotten into him. This didn't make any sense, especially for him. She realised she couldn't win, and huffed while rolling her eyes. "Fine. I'll do this if it's so important to you." Aly left Zane's hold and walked off, heading straight upstairs to get changed.

Left in silence, Zane let out a sigh; he felt awful for what was happening and how he spoke to her. Though he understood that logically, it was the only way that Aly would listen to him.

He took a few moments to himself before heading back to the kitchen where Harumi still stood. "Forgive me, Harumi." Zane said, but Harumi just waved him off. "It's fine. I knew she'd be like this." She sighed, holding her arm while looking away. "Hopefully, after today you will both be on good terms again. I can see how it would benefit the both of you." Zane told her as he started making some tea.

Once Aly had changed into some comfortable clothes, she walked back downstairs to the living room where Zane and Harumi were sitting, having some tea. "There you are." Zane smiled before gesturing to the tea on the table. "Please, join us." Aly took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down as she sat beside Zane, taking her drink.
