After Ian's done putting my bloody clothes in the washer, he returns back upstairs. He opens the door to his room, to find me struggling to put his clothes on. I'm only wearing his pajama pants yet."Sorry, I should've helped you" he says and walks up to me. "Here, let me help" Ian grabs the shirt and pulls it over my upper body. "Thanks" "do I need to pick you up again or do you think you can make it on your own?" Ian asks me, looking at his bed. "I think I'll only need a hand this time." I say. Ian holds my waist as I slowly sit down. Ian sits next to me. He grabs a pack of cigarettes from his window ledge. "Want one?" He aks me while lighting his one up. "I've been craving one all day" I take his cigarette and ask if he'll light me up too. "It's not working" Ian says, as his lighter dies. "You could light mine with yours?" I say. "Put it in your mouth then" he tells me. I put the cigarette back into my mouth and he holds the lit tip of his against mine. Our faces almost touch. We make brief eye contact before my cigarette starts glowing. "Thanks Ian" I say, without neither of us moving our faces further away.
Ian moves closer. His lips meet mine, and we both close our eyes. We kiss.
He puts his hand on my cheek, throws his cigarette on the floor, and grabs my by my waist with the other. "Watch out!" I say, as I do the same. With all hands free, I move my hands from his shoulders, to his neck, to his chest, and back. "Does this hurt you?" He asks, with his hands on my body. "You're good" I say. After doing this for about 15 minutes, I'm out of breath. "Ian, Im way too tired." I say, as he gives me one last kiss on my neck.

"Don't you have to make your bed?" I ask. "This fits two people, doesn't it?" Ian says, as he moves closer to me. he holds me close with his arm under me and his hand on my hips. I've never felt so safe.

Before I know it it's morning. I rub my crusty eyes, and for a second, I forgot where I was. I forgot I got stabbed last night. I also forgot I kissed a really handsome guy last night. That same guy, is still asleep, with his arms around me. I'm so glad Ian found me when I was dying. I wouldn't want it to have been anyone else. It's a scary thought that if he didn't, I probably would be still laying there right now.
His face looks cute. I lay my head on Ian's chest, and listen to him breathing."Boys! Wake up!" I hear loudly across the hallway. Ian opens his eyes. "Hey you" he says. Ian gives me a slow little kiss on my lips. "Hi" I answer, and give him a kiss back. "how'd you sleep? How is your leg doing?" Ian asks me, lifting the blanket off my wound. "I slept amazing, thanks to you, and the three painkillers" I say. We both giggle. "Kids! Out of bed! Now!" I hear, even angrier than before. "Fiona. Sorry." Ian says. "It's fine. Do you have school?" I ask. "Yeah. I'm telling her I'm gonna skip. Ill stay here with you Quinn." "Thank you so much." "one sec" Ian says as he gets out of bed, gives me another kiss and walks downstairs. "Laundry!" Fiona yells once again. She enters the room. I'm still in bed. "Who are you?" She asks in a rush, with the laundry basket still in her hand. "I'm Quinn. A friend of Ian's." I say.
"School friend?" She asks me. I'm low-key intimidated by her. I don't wanna make a wrong impression.
I show her the wound on my leg. "I got stabbed in the subway last night. Ian took me here and made sure I didn't die." I say, in a chuckle.
"Jesus Christ. Who the fuck did that to you?" "I don't really remember" I say. " sorry about that. I'm Fiona. Nice to meet you." She says as she's getting the laundry from his room. "Nice to meet you too" I say.
"Did you have breakfast?" She asks. "No, but I'm good. I don't really do breakfast anyway." "I'll be downstairs if you need anything, okay? Wait, can you even walk?" She asks. "Last night I couldn't. I haven't tried today yet." I say. Ian walks in. "I see you two met. I'm skipping today Fi." Ian says.
"That's okay, I'll be gone in 15" she says, and walks to the laundry shaft in the hallway. "Fiona's nice" I say. "Try living with her first" Ian says. "Let me help you." Ian holds my hand as i try to get up. A lot of pain and grunting later, I'm on two feet.
"Wanna try walking?" Ian asks. I try a few steps. I can feel the crust that has formed overnight break apart as I stretch my skin, moving one leg in front of the other. I wouldn't call it comfortable, but there was no more blood and I could move again.
"You're doing great!" He says. "Shame I won't have to carry you around anymore" he says, as he guides me through the hallway. Ian stopped holding my hand. "Go on, let's try some stairs." He says with a smile. As I put my healthy leg on the first step, I can feel something rip. I lose my balance. "Woah woah, easy there. Mind if I carry you down?" He asks. I let him pick me up. He walks downstairs with me in his arms, to his kitchen.
Lip, Carl, Debbie and Liam are rushing their breakfast down their throats, as Ian sits me on one of the bar stools.
"Who's he? Carl asks." "That's Quinn. He's a friend of mine"
I don't mind that Ian introduced me as his "friend". He's probably not out yet. Ian introduces his four other siblings to me. I don't get a lot of attention, since everyone busy with their own morning routine, but lip notices my wound.
"He got attacked last night. Took him home, made sure he didn't die." Ian tells him. We made a little conversation, but soon everyone was off to either work or school. Lip was last to leave the house. He came downstairs with his coat and backpack on and he reached for the doorknob.
"Nice hickeys you guys got" Lip says to us with a grin on his face, right before he storms out the door.
