Chapter 4

After a nice day, we got into our pjs and watched some movies. Then went to sleep.

It was about 2 AM in the morning when my phone rang. It was Cameron.

"Hello?" I said as I picked up the call.

"You got some explaining to do Karen." He said.

"It's Katie."

"Fine whatever. Why aren't you answering the door?"

"Because I'm at my sisters' house."

"When will y come back?"

"Tomorrow morning."

"Where will I sleep?"

"Can't you go to Esther's house?"

"You kidding me? I dropped her back about 7 hours ago!"

"Not my prob. Sleep on the stairs tonight."

"Are you mad? Come home just now!"

"Really? Leave my sisters and come to you?"

"Yes."

"Shut up."

"Then where will I sleep?"

"Not my fault."

"You're kidding me right?"

"Cameron Reynolds if you don't shut up his instant..."

"Katherine Kelly if YOU don't shut up this instant..."

"I will rip your head off!"

"Ooh I'm scared."

"Don't play innocent."

"Hah. Who's the innocent one here?"

"Me."

"Really Katherine? Stop being a baby."

"Really Cammy? Well you stop acting innocent first."

"So what do you plan to do now?"

"Well, I'm planning to make me you sleep on the stairs."

"Shut up."

"Look, I need to sleep now. Stop bothering me."

"Well, come home."

"Ugh, I give up. I'll be there in half an hour."

"Good girl. see you there."

I hung up and changed my clothes. I grabbed my purse and phone. BUT I didn't have my car! So had to call Cameron.

"Hello?" I said.

"What is it?" Cameron asked.

"Can you pick me up?"

"Well... NO! Find your own ride."

He hung up.

Since he refused, I had to call Amber at 2:30 am to drive me back.

"I was having sex with a really hot girl when you called and disturbed us!" Amber said.

"I'm so sorry." I apologised.

"Well, I'll forgive you on one condition." She said. "You'll have sex with me."

"Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnneeeeeeeeeeeeee" I said.

"Yay! My house tomorrow night!" She cheered.

After a short while we were there.

"Thanks for the ride!" I waved out to Amber and walked upstairs.

"There you are." Cameron said as he saw me.

"Yes." I said.

I searched my purse for my apartment keys but I could t find it."

"Shit!" I said.

"What's the matter?" Cameron asked.

"I left my keys inside!" I panicked.

"Shit." Cameron said. "Now what do we do?"

"I don't know!"

"Could you be anymore irresponsible?"

"I'm sorry."

Suddenly his hand cut right across my face.it left a bright red mark on my cheek.

"Son of a b*tch!" I made fists. "How f***ing dare you!"

I took my purse and hit him right across his face, causing him to fall to the ground.

"Don't get on my bad side!" I warned him and ran away.

"I have to get far away from him!" I said as I ran. I wasn't looking where I was going. Now, I was lost.

I stood there and cried for what felt like hours. Then I felt some car stop in front of me.

"Kat? What are you doing here!" I heard a familiar voice.

"Jess? Is that you?" I asked.

"Yes. Why are you crying?" she asked me as she got off her car.

"OH MY WHATS THAT ON YOUR FACE?!" She panicked.

I told her the entire story behind the mark on my face. She was shocked.

"It's ok, I'm here now." She said as she hugged me. "Do you wanna come to my home?"

"Yes please." I said.

Jess held my hand and took me to the car.

"So, what were you doing outside?" I asked.

"Well actually, I called Meg to sleepover at my house. At 2:00, she got a call from the hospital saying that her mom wasn't breathing so I just went to drop her off. Now I'm just going back to my apartment." She said.

"Jess, what about the fight?" I asked.

"You know, you should complain to your mom." She suggested.

"But she thinks Cameron is too innocent to do that."

"Ooh, my friend Charlie is a policeman. You can just go tell him tomorrow."

"I will. Thanks Jess."

"No problemo"
