Life had been normal for Schlatt and Amaya, nothing wrong, everything was great. But Schlatt hated new york, the taxes.. and he didn't think Amaya liked it either.. not to mention their rent was going up. "May.." Schlatt looked up from his phone and at Amaya who lifted her head when she heard the nickname. "Would you rather hot weather or cold weather?"

"What do you like most?" She smiled at her father as she glanced back at the TV.

"Hm.." He grinned, aware that whatever he chose, she'd choose too. "I like hot weather more"

"Me too" she looked back to the TV. "But not when it's too hot, cause then it's gross"

"How about we move?" He blurted out, he knew he wanted to move anyways, but he wanted to hear her opinion.

"Like where? The kitchen?" She questioned. Schlatt laughed at her response, she turned her head back to him.

"No, May.. like, texas or something.." He shrugged and looked back down at his phone to text Esfand. Schlatt had wanted to move to texas to be closer to his friends, and Esfand had offered him a place to stay.

"The place you said Uncle Connor lived?" She scooted closer to him and peaked at his phone.

"Yeah..!" He nodded. "And a lot of my other friends live there too.." He continued to ramble, before something popped into his brain. "Hey, pumpkin. Your birthdays coming up! Maybe, if we move, we can get a lot of people to get you presents.." He ruffled his daughters hair.

She gasped. "Let's go to texas papa! I wanna get presents!" She grabbed his sleeve and weakly shook him, he was to
big for her to shake him.

He chuckled and rested a hand on the top of her head. "I'm on it! I'm on it!"

They hadn't lived in his parents place for long, but it wasn't like Schlatt cared, as he would say "I'm a fucking billionaire! Who cares?" He packed most of the stuff, and gave Amaya the job to pack her own things. All she had to carry stuff in was a large backpack, but they were both sure it'd fit all her stuff, (since all her other belongings would go in a movers truck).
