AN:

So during some of this chapter I was watching the movie with it to try and make it more accurate (I know, don't hate me, I don't have the book) for you guys, so enjoy!

---------------------------

I woke up to the sun's rays streaming into my....window? I have a window? I thought. I fluttered open my eyes and saw that I was in a room. A hotel room maybe? All of the events from last night came flooding back into my mind...ditching the Dursley's, I'm a witch and Harry's a wizard, according to Hagrid, and we were going to a school for Wizards and Witches soon!

I swung my body down off the top bunk, and shook Harry. He woke up and by the look on his face he was remembering last night as well. He smiled, thinking of leaving the Dursley's. Wait. How did I know that? Harry looked at me and wondered what I was wondering.

"Ok, this is getting weird." I said. Before Harry could respond, I replied,"I'm reading your mind. Think something. I'll read it."

He nodded. I heard his thoughts. 'What is she talking about? She's crazy. Maybe she's mental. Wait. Is she listening right now?'

"Yes Harry. I was listening. I'm not mental. I don't know how I can read minds. Maybe it's just a twin thing." I say.

"I don't think so. I can't read your thoughts." Harry replied.

"Have you tried?" I ask.

"No." He said sheepishly.

"Try." I coaxed.

His face twisted up and I could tell he was concentrating. His face was turning purple....he was trying really hard. He relaxed and looked at me. He shook his head.

I sighed and pushed the thought out of my mind, but it kept coming back from Harry's questions as well.

My thoughts were interrupted when Hagrid entered the room.

"Ah. Yer up. Good. Get dressed. We need to go buy school supplies." Hagrid says.

"Harry and I don't have any other clothes, Hagrid." I reply.

"Well, ok then, let's get going." He said.

------------------------------------------------------

We started walking down the market streets in London, and Harry started reading off of the list of supplies we needed.

"All students must have:

3 sets of plain robes, 1 wand, 1 standard sized pewter cauldron, 1 pair of Dragon Hide gloves, and may bring if they choose an owl, a cat, or a toad." He finished.

"Hagrid, can we find all of this in London?" I ask.

"Only if you know where to look." He replied, with a twinkle in his eye.

"Wait, Dragon Hide gloves? Made from real dragons?" Harry asked, eager for an answer.

"Well they don't mean a penguin now do they?" Hagrid responded. "Crikey. I'd love a dragon."

"You'd like a dragon?" I asked in disbelief.

"They're vastly misunderstood beasts, Emily. Vastly misunderstood." He replied.

We came to a small pub, strode inside, and the bartender immediately recognized Hagrid.

"The usual, I presume, Hagrid?" He asked.

"No thanks Tom. I'm on official Hogwarts business. These Harry and Emily need to buy school supplies." Hagrid replied.

"Blimey, is that Harry and Emily Potter?" Tom asked. Apparently he was quite loud, because the moment he finished his question, the entire pub hushed up. People started coming up to us and shaking our hands and meeting us. We met one person with a turban and a stutter. Hagrid said he was the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor. We politely greeted each other and left the back side of the pub.
