"Harry, Emily, wake up!" Ron shouted from the common room. "Come on, wake up!" I yawned andd climbed out of bed, fixing my hair and changing with a pop!, then I walked down the stairs to the common room, and I found Harry descending as well. We met at the balcony and looked down at Ron, who immediately greeted us.
"Happy Christmas, you guys!" He said cheerfully.
"Happy Christmas, Ron." Harry and I said in unison.
I then noticed Ron's fleece or jacket or whatever it was, and asked before Harry could, hearing the the same thoughts formulate in his head.
"What're you wearing?" I inquired.
"Oh. Mum made it. Looks like you've got some too!" Ron said, turning around and looking at the pile of presents behind him, under the tree.
"We've...we've got presents?" Harry mumbled, it too good to believe.
"Yeah!" Ron nodded, smiling.
I looked at Harry and he stared back at me, then we both grinned like maniacs and ran down the stairs.
"There they are," Ron said, pointing to a pile of presents in front of the Christmas tree. We ran over to it and began opening presents. Ron grabbed a box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans and began eating them while we opened our presents. I grabbed something wrapped in silver paper, and looked at the card. This is what it said:
Your father left this in my possession before he died.
It is time it was returned to you two.
Use it well.
I read it aloud, and looked up at Ron and Harry, who were both looking at me quizzically. Ron shrugged and looked at the package. I unwrapped it, and looked strange, with a funny pattern and I held it up in front of me.
"What is it?" Harry asked.
"I think it's a cloak." I replied, examining it further.
"Well then, put it on!" Ron teased.
I did, and looked up at Ron and Harry's faces. They were in shock. I couldn't figure out why they were gaping at the cloak until I looked down. My body was invisible!
"Woah!!" Ron and Harry gasped.
"I know what that is!!!" Ron exclaimed. "That's an invisibility cloak! They're really rare." Ron walked over and picked up the note.
"I wonder who gave it to us." Harry wondered.
"I dunno. There was no name." I replied. "It only said use it well."
