Chapter 3: Unexpected Outcomes

Y/N's PoV

Both girls engaged in close quarters combat since a while ago, it had gotten dark already enough so i could see the sparks coming out from every clash between the Tengu's fan and Yasu's katana, it wasn't more than amazing to witness specially as both moved at inhuman speeds and struck with strength that i could only describe as surreal, i definitely wouldn't like to be in the crossfire

Y/N: Guess that solves any other doubt i had, Yasu's definitely a ninja...

This got me convinced enough to believe that they were real after all, as if i could deny it when i was seeing a battle between two of them fighting amongst each other

Tengu: "Stay still would you!? You're delaying the inevitable!" Unlike the Tengu, Yasu remained firm and with a gaze that pierced through one's soul, just her usually neutral face of every day but with a hint of a murder instinct

While the Tengu girl focused more on dodging and staying on the defensive, Yasu's fighting style resolved around attacking at the enemy's weak points with strong but precise swings that threw the Tengu off balance, even i could tell that much

Tengu: "Tch, not the best talking huh? That's fine! DODGE THIS!" By swinging her fan upwards, she lifted a dirt curtain from the street with a strong gust of wind that caught Yasu off guard

As the Tengu assumed her position again, Yasu rubbed her eyes with one hand while the other held her weapon, some dirt had apparently gotten into her eyes and she was unable to see her enemy until she got the time to get the dirt out of the way

Y/N: This is bad...she can't see!

Tengu: "Goodbye and see you in hell, Ronin!" Not waiting for her enemy to recover, she lunged forward with her fan drawn back to gain a boost for her next attack, i could tell the fan was extremely sharp since otherwise it wouldn't clash with Yasu's sword, so if this continued she'd cut her head clean off...

I couldn't stand there and do nothing, but rushing in would be reckless of me, and i would never reach their position before she struck anyways...so i took a moment to think and watch the Tengu's position for the fan noticing the way she was going to swing it, shouting to Yasu in hopes that she would hear me

Y/N: "Slash upwards! NOW!"

Fortunately enough Yasu seemed to have heard me, swinging her sword vertically upwards in a swift motion that blocked the attack of the fan and put the Tengu off balance

Tengu: "W-wha!?"

Y/N: "Charge in!" Following my command, Yasu rushed forward and tackled her opponent throwing her backwards and forcing her to retreat a few meters with a jump

Yasu took the dirt off her eyes at last and could see again, keeping her gaze fixed on our attacker to not lose her. I limited myself to just watch them fight from here on, after all i already made myself of use

Tengu: "So he's not a normal human like i suspected...he must be a skilled strategist that remains in the sidelines, does he belong to your village or did you happen to find him?" Asked curiously the Teng raising her fan up

Yasu: "..." But once again, Yasu didn't say anything at all

Tengu: "So that's so, he must be a human you took in...then, i'll just have to attack while he can't help!" She swung the fan downwards this time, vanishing from her position but leaving brief afterimages flying at fast speeds around Yasu

Said afterimages began lifting the dirt of the ground as she flew, making what i identified as a tornado over Yasu that blocked me from looking at her except for the brief moments i was able to see her in the dirt
