Chapter Eleven Harmony's POV
I was super nervous about this big third date. I knew we were ready for this next step. I had been ready for such a very long time. Now my wish was coming true. I was going to get to be with Keith Partridge. I was hoping to get more serious with him.
I was working and planning out our weekend and his over night stay. I was grateful Laurie had a new boyfriend so she was going to be spending the night over there with him this weekend.
Letting me have the place all to myself with her brother. I even planned the music to be played so it was romantic for us. I had fun watching Keith practice the other day. He had even shaved that face hair off for me. He was adorable as ever.
I smile as I hang up clothing on racks at Woolworths I used to work at Sears. I had first worked at Burger King. Now this place I liked. It was easy going. Steady pace. Lots of stuff to do to keep me busy!

"Well well....someone is in a good mood today? What's new with you?" asks my coworker and friend Barbra Voggle.
"I have a date that's all. I'm looking forward to it" I admit to her.
"The same guy? Date number three?" she asks me. I nod then smile.
"Date number three! Yes" I reply to her as I work.
"So who is this guy? Tell me more? Has he said the L word yet? Have you? Are you going to go steady?" she blurts out one question after another.
"His name is Keith Partridge. No no and I don't think so not yet" I laugh. She looks surprised at my answer.
"Keith?" "Yes the one from tv. I'm best friends with his sister" "Oh..." "What do you mean by oh?" I ask. "Well I dated Keith. He was so sweet. First date we went to the movies. Second date was we walked on the beach near the boats. Third date was my place. Yes we made love. I told him I loved him. And that pretty much scared him off. Never got to a forth date. He used to send flowers. Write poems. He was so sweet caring and thoughtful. I was heartbroken" she admits to me. "Good luck to you! Hope you get a fourth date" she sighs. "Unlike myself"
I sigh. Feeling heavy hearted. It sounded like us. Was Keith only trying to get in my pants to then dump me around date four? An uneasy feeling rushed at me.

Barb places a hand on my arm. "Hey forget what I said don't let this ruin anything I hope it works out for you. He seemed like a great guy. Best of luck to you both" she tells me before walking away.
Low and behold Keith comes wandering in. To see me. He grins as he makes his way to my side. He noticed Barb there. He looks uneasy.
"Was that Barb?" he asks me. I nod yes. "Sure was" "I'm sure she told you that we used to date right? I am not proud of that I did hurt her it is all true. She told me she loved me. I wasn't in love. I wanted to just have fun. Then I wasn't ready for anything serious. Not even for a fourth date. I should have told her a proper goodbye but I was a jerk I just bailed. I mean what I say when that's not us. Harmony, I'm ready for so much more with you!" he promised me. He kisses me on the cheek.
"The old Keith would not have admitted that. Thank you for telling me. I was upset when I heard that. So there will be a fifth date for us?" I wonder. He leans in to kiss me.
"Yes, yes there will be!" he smiles at me. I smile back.
"Are you as nervous as I am but extremely excited to? About tomorrow night?" I softly say.
"I can't wait!" he answers. "You are going to have an amazing night I promise you!"
"See you soon Keith Partridge! I can't wait!" I reply. He leans in giving me a sweet long slow kiss. I feel light headed. My boss was coming so he pulls away.
"Oh one more thing....remember this Harmony! I think I love ya!" He quoted his song as he does he winks then wanders away.
My heart skips a beat as I get back to work. He said love? But he was teasing right? Could he mean it? Could he love me in return finally? I called Laurie on my break at the pay phone.

"He said what??!" she exclaimed. "He said I think I love ya" I sigh "but that's his song was he joking or did he mean it?" "I don't know I never saw him bring up the word love ever!" she admits. I feel a note in my pocket in my jeans. It was from Keith!
"I better get back to work. I will talk to you later ok?" I ask her. "Certainly keep me posted" she says before we hang up.
I open his note.
It read:
I meant it. I planned to tell you. I'm nervous as hell so forgive me.
I love you Harmony I don't just think I know and I hope you love me. I hope you will answer this on our date. I love you with all my heart you beautiful sexy woman

I was stunned I reread it over and over. Happy tears form in my eyes. He said it! He loved me in return. I hold the note to my chest. He loved me!!
I loved him to! I had to say it as soon as I saw him again. We were in love!
