Chapter 6*Foliis

I laid down on a couch at Costco. In the past two hours, I had gone to Target, bought new clothes, changed into them, and come to Costco. The place was supposed to close in five minutes, and I had plans on hiding so no one found me and camping out here for the night.

I now wore an orange beanie, a dark red scarf, orange boots tipped with white fuzz over dark red leggings, and orange and dark red headphones around my neck. I had a dark red sweater on with orange stripes down both sleeves. I had an orange skirt on that was tipped with dark red lace.

I know, now is not the time to wear winter clothes, but I had to remake myself.

"Costco is now closed. Please exit the building now."

I stood and dashed to the nearest corner of the building. I curled into a ball. I draped a gray cloth over me. I had bought it so I could blend in a bit more than a fireball.

The lights in the store turned off, so I took that as the universe's way of saying 'go to bed, Foliis Flare Dohim/Nazette Casterion Flayr, it's late.'

——-

I woke up at five the next morning. I guess I'd have to get used to not getting much sleep. Dumb bell Baldy wan'ts me arrested, so I can't just 'lay around.'

I stood up and walked around a little bit. It was so much more open in Costco than at the university. I liked that.

"Costco will open now. Everybody, report to your stations."

Soon would be my chance to leave and get some food. I was starved.

Oh wait.

I didn't have any money to buy food.

I swore under my breath. Stupid Baldy made me leave all my money at the school.

Somebody found me about half an hour later. I folded up my cloth and walked out like it was a purse.

Nobody said a word. I was in the clear.

——-

I walked past an antique dealer to find police flooding it.

"What the heck happened here?" I asked a person watching.

"An assassin appeared here yesterday!" they exclaimed.

"Pleasant," I muttered sarcastically.

I continued walking. Why is my life so boring?

I reminded myself it wouldn't be anymore. "Baldy wants you in jail for just doing what you had to," I whispered. "Little creep should just leave me and my business alone."

A TV shop was a few doors down. I decided to stare at the current news that was playing:

"University student Foliis Dohim recently assaulted one of her teachers at the local school. She escaped being arrested, and it is of highest priority that she is found and placed into custody."

"Baldy over reacted. He shouldn't have brought my family into it if he knew what was best for him," I told myself. "Now, what shall we do to fix your life, 'Nazette?'"

A/N

Yeah, it was a boring chapter.

And Foli is kind of the 'cast off' right now.

I'll get her to meet some of our assassins soon enough.
