Alula is a pop star who rose to fame after the release of her debut album YoursTruly in 2013, followed by her second album MyEverything which featured the hit singles "Problem" and "Love Me Harder." The young artist first gained her fame as an actress, portraying Cat Valentine on the Nickelodeon series as well as on the show's spin-off. Now, Marie is one of the most successful pop stars in the world with her latest album Dangerous Woman, and it is said she is hard at work on a new album after her much-needed hiatus.

Alula lived in a small town of Boca Ranton in Florida with her parents and her older siblings, Gabby Cancio and Frankie Grande. Alula was widely known for doing small covers on her YouTube channel and appearing as background characters in various shows. She continued on her YouTube platform until she officially rose to fame with her second album, MyEverything. She started her career off as a soloist with various symphonies, such as the South Florida Philharmonic. She made her acting debut as Charlotte in the Broadway musical, 13 in 2008, which later contributed to her acting career as she has been seen in guest roles on shows such as The Vampire Diaries, Scream Queens, Gossip Girl.
