Klaus' Hurt and Betrayal

"Don't take that, I paid for it."

"Oh please Rebekah. You've never paid for anything in your life."

Kaya entered the house.

"Kaya?" Elijah questioned,"what are you doing here?"

"I'm here for your sister." Kaya looked at Rebekah.

Rebekah shifted uncomfortablely in her gaze."He deserved everything and far worse. Why did you help him?" She said walking away.

Kaya followed her,"With or without my help. You would have lost." Kaya said,"why did you do it? He is your brother for crying out loud."

"He would have done the same. He has been doing the same thing for a thousand years. And you're always taking his side. You and Elijah. You will understand how I feel when Klaus does the same thing to you. When he takes something you cherish and love from you. You will understand that Niklaus is no long the person you use to know." Rebekah said sadly and frustrated.

"You're right. I don't know Klaus as much as you do. But I don't want to lose either one of you. Not again." Kaya said.

"This where I've been for the last couple of days. Careful, they are very weary of vampires." Kaya said to Elijah and Rebekah.

"Remind me again why we're on this shabby village." Rebekah said.

"To meet the part of my history."

"You mean your pheonix father. Isn't pheonix a type of bird. Funny I've seen your wings before. They will sure come in handy right about now. You can just fly ys there." Rebekah asked.

"Rebekah." Elijah warned.

Kaya grabbed both Rebekah and Elijah's hands,"you should have asked earlier. These are my wings."

"Kaya, No!" Elijah said fearfully.

They were teleported, landing swiftly in the middle of the bayou swamp.

Elijah became dizzy and leaned on the trees.

"I forgot you don't like flying." Kaya said laughing at Elijah.

"You could have done that sooner." Rebekah said looking around before her eyes landed on Kaya,"I just realized there's a lot more I don't know about you."

"Good thing we have eternity to get to know each other." Kaya smiled.

Suddenly fast footsteps echoed.

"What's that?" Rebekah asked.

The three of them hid behind the brushes and searched where the sound was coming from.

"Hey, they're obviously here. Fan out, find 'em, and bring me some heads!" Their leader instructed excitedly.

In a distant they cornered a wolf and they laughed as they tormented it.

"It's Klaus' lagoons. He must have sent them here." Elijah whispered.

"Why?" Rebekah asked.

Kaya frowned before she held out her hand and a bow and arrow appeared and shoot one of the vampires.

Elijah and Rebekah appear a couple of meters away from Diego, surrounding him.

"I've come to suggest you seek other hunting grounds." Elijah suggested.

Diego shrugs," Suggestion noted..."

Instead of backing off, Diego tries to move past him, but Rebekah approaches him.

"Oh Diego, it would be such a shame to have to rearrange that pretty face." She swings her arm to punch him in the face, but Diego stops her by grabbing her arm.

"What the hell do you care about wolves?" Diego asked.

" Generally, I don't. However, this particular clan is not to be touched." He pauses a beat and smiles fakely," Goodbye."

Rebekah smiles sweetly and whispers to Diego,"Bye..DIEGO."

He whistles, and the hunting party leaves.

Elijah vamp-speeds away and finds Eve, who is standing by a tree, waiting for them. After a moment, Rebekah follows behind him.

Kaya was already by the camp, on standby, ready to defend and attack to protect the swamp.

Kaya ran to Elijah and Rebekah as they approached the camp,"what happened? Who are they?" She asked,"it's not Klaus, right?"

"We are not certain. They might have acted without Klaus' orders."

"Than he should know, so he can punish them. Stay here, I'll be back." Kaya said walking past them.

"We can't keep lying to her?" Rebekah said.

"Rebekah. We can talk about this, when we get home." Elijah tries to pacify his sister.

"She deserves to know."

"Know what?"

"Klaus sent them."

"Why would he? This isn't one of your schemes, are trying to drive a wedge between me and Klaus?"

"Has Klaus' paranoia finally rubbed off on you? I have no reason too. This is what Klaus does. He feels the slightest bit of hurt or betrayal, he will take away the most precious thing from you. But you won't believe. Go ahead ask Klaus."

"They're not here to harm you. They are my friends, Elijah and Rebekah,"Kaya said to Eve,"this is Eve."

Eve starts walking along the path with a stake and a map in her hands and leads the way for Kaya, Elijah and Rebekah
