A BLINDING FLASH OF a bright white light made Sasuke lift an arm to cover his eyes. He felt his body go numb for a moment, he couldn't control his movements.

But when the numbness faded, he felt a falling sensation. And when his back hit the ground with a loud thud, it made him gasp for air at the sudden drop. He grunted, placing a hand on his stomach, feeling like he was about to throw up.

He felt grass underneath the palm of his right hand as he sat up. He waited for the pounding in his head to stop and the ringing in his ears. He was exhausted from the war.

He looked up and saw a giant village, except the buildings were taller than the Hokage tower and half the height of the Hokage mountain. "What the?" He muttered, standing up.

He stumbled slightly but managed to gain his stability and look around, trying to figure out his surroundings. He saw weird moving carriages in the distance. Except, they didn't have horses or anything. They were powered by something.

He would need more information. He looked over to the side. A giant statue of a boy with an arrow on his forehead. He raised an eyebrow but didn't question it, stumbling over to the water.

He looked at the reflection of the water and took in his appearance. His hair was slightly disheveled, dried blood on his body, a few cuts and bruises and soot from his fire jutsu.

He started washing off the dried blood and fixed his hair. Thankfully, having Kabuto as a training partner during his time with Orochimaru, he knew basic medical ninjutsu.

So he healed his bruises and cuts and looked fine. He didn't have all his chakra though. He was in an unknown place. It was dangerous.

He looked at his kusanagi and grabbed the sheath, sealing it away with a scroll. He put it back in his pocket and walked up the hill, into the city.

He must not have the right fashion. He got stares as he walked through the city. He decided to ignore it and found a park.

He sat down by the pond and watched the fish swimming around. His stomach rumbled and he blinked before grabbing a Kunai and throwing it at the water.

He leaned over and picked it up, seeing a fish dead on it. He deboned it and placed it on a stick from a bush before getting another one. He hadn't eaten all day, since the war started.

He got some fire chakra in his hand and used it to cook the fish. Suddenly, he was pushed onto the ground by giant claws. "Naga! No!" He heard a female voice as he was pinned down by a giant animal.

He looked into the eyes of the animal and closed his eyes at it licked his face. "Sorry! I don't know what got onto her." The female voice continued and Sasuke felt it being tugged off him.

He looked up, seeing a mix breed between a dog and a.. polar bear? That's a new one. Next to her, was a female girl — dark skinned with blue eyes and three ponytails. She also wore blue clothing and brown boots.

"Here, let me help you." She said, and held out her hand. Sasuke decided to accept it and wasn't surprised when he was hauled up with ease. She had toned arms. Reminded him of Sakura. Sasuke wasn't a pervert, he was just realising someone's strength.

"Hn." He said and the girl crossed her arms with a sweatdrop. "What's your name.?" She asked. "..Sasuke." He replied, sitting back down. The girl sat down next to him and Sasuke fed Naga a fish, which made Naga's tail wag as she ate it.

Sasuke had a soft spot for animals. A secret he would take to his grave. He won't lie to himself, he wanted to give Naga all the treats when he saw her. But he would never admit that.

"I'm Korra, nice to meet you Sasuke." She said. "Hn." He replied and she sweatdropped. Naga was in the pond, getting some fish.

Korra did what Sasuke did, making the raven haired boy raise an eyebrow. Korra noticed. "Oh, I'm a fire bender." She said. "..you have fire jutsu?" He asked. Korra tilted her head. "Jutsu?" She asked.

Sasuke immediately knew she wasn't from his world. Everyone knew about Jutsu, unless he was in a secluded place where chakra wasn't used — which was highly unlikely.

"...what's a fire bender?" He asked. Korra looked at him like he was stupid, making him click his tongue. "Uh, benders control the elements.? Y'know, fire, air, water, earth." Korra sweatdropped.

"Give me a history lesson." Sasuke demanded. Korra was taken aback at the sudden demand. "Alright.. bossy." She muttered the last part, making Sasuke glare at her. She held her hands up in defence. "Alright.!" She said.

She explained the history of bending and the avatar who masters all four elements. Ironically, Korra is the avatar. Sasuke ate his fish as Korra finished explaining.

"How do you not know of bending?" Korra asked. "..I'm from a place so secluded that benders don't actually exist." Sasuke replied. "Woah! Are you like from a different universe or something?" Korra asked. "..Yeah. You could say that." Sasuke muttered.

The bush rustled next to them and they looked over — mid bite of their fishes, seeing a man staring at the,. Korra's face was funny as she noticed the man poking out of the bush. She gasped as Sasuke looked at the man in confusion.

"Uh, say, think I can get one of them tasty-smelling fishies?" The homeless guy asked them. Korra and Sasuke exchanged a glance. Sasuke shrugged and Korra turned to the man.

"Uh.. yeah, sure." Korra said and the man stumbled out the bush, sitting next to Korra and grabbing a fish — chowing down on it like he hadn't eaten in days.

"So, do you live in that bush?" Korra asked, trying to start up a convo as Sasuke threw Naga a fish who whines in happiness, eating it.

"Yes, presently that is what I do call home. Took me a while to procure a bush that beauteous." The man said, and Sasuke swore he saw the bush sparkle. "This park is quite popular with all the vagabonds." He continued.

"So, there are a lot of you out here?" Korra asked, confused. "I thought everyone in this city was living it up." She murmured.

The man laughed like Korra was the crazy one. "You got a lot to learn, newcomers! Welcome to Republic City." The homeless man said — making Korra and Sasuke raise a baffled eyebrow. A whistle blows, making them look over.

"Hey, you, stop! You can't fish here!" A park ranger said, pointing at Sasuke and Korra — running down a small bridge. "You best skedaddle. Woo!" The homeless man said, jumping back into his beautiful bush. Sasuke sighed, this was going to be a long day.
