Perrie’s POV
What a day! I’d seen her around once or twice before but only from a distance. She’d never noticed me, she’s was pretty popular in the college, from what I’d seen anyway, I hadn’t been there very long. It wasn’t hard to see why she was popular, she was.. well to put it bluntly she was fucking gorgeous. The type of girl that girls what to be and boys want to be with. I’d heard a rumour she was gay and at first I didn’t believe it, I mean she was far your stereotypical lesbian. She was a bit taller than me, dark curly hair, and amazing figure!
So, today I talked to her and honestly it was completely different to what I expected. You know the popular girls in school? You expect them to be bitchy and stuck up right? Well she was the completely opposite. She seemed quiet both times we met, maybe she was nervous, or maybe just shy but it was endearing. She was cute. So I asked her out, well I asked her for coffee. I never did spontaneous things like that, infact I don’t know what possessed me to ask out a random girl I’d just met but it felt right. So now I’m sitting outside of college waiting for her.
I could see her from a distance, she looked different from this morning, she must have found time to put makeup on, not that she needed it. I stood up as she approached. ‘Wow’ I said, she looked at me confused. ‘This is the first time we’ve spoke without me having to pick you up off the ground first’. She laughed, god her laugh was cute ‘I’m great at first impressions as you can tell’. I smiled as we started walking to starbucks.
‘So I haven’t seen you around’ Leigh-Anne said. ‘Yeah I only transferred a while ago. I haven’t been here long’. ‘Oh’ she replied, ‘Well I’m glad you did’ she added quietly, smiling in the other direction. ‘So you’re single then?’ I asked, what I stupid question why did I ask that. ‘Yeah, it’s not easy finding other lesbians around here’. Well she had just confirmed any doubts I had!
‘So what do you usually get?’ I asked as we got to Starbucks. ‘Iced frappachino, but I think it’s a bit too cold for that today’. I laughed ‘Definitely’. ‘You should try a Carmel Macchiato, they’re good I promise’. She took out her purse as I ordered two, ‘It’s on me babe’ I said pushing her hand back into her bag, resisting the temptation to hold her hand, I didn’t want to come on too strong and scare her off. She stilled, seemed nervous, or shy, whatever it is I wanted to make her feel more comfortable.
We sat down at the comfy sofa things, you know those ones they have in starbucks that feel like you’re at home? The fact that it meant I got to sit close to Leigh-Anne was just a bonus. She took a sip of her drink, ‘Like it?’ I asked. ‘Ewww, I can’t believe you told me to order this, it’s horrible’. ‘Oh gosh I am so sorry, let me get you another one!’ I almost jumped out of my seat I felt so bad. I looked back down at Leigh-Anne and she was laughing. ‘Oh you were joking, I knew that, I was just you know, practising me acting skills, I’m proper good aren’t I?’ I said making a sad attempt to save myself. ‘Haha, you should have an Oscar! So we’re you from? By the accent I’m guessing not London?’ ‘Nah Newcastle, me and my best friend Jade moved up here for college’ I usually tried to hide my accent but I realised that the last few moments it had come across quite strong, lets hope she likes Geordies. ‘Oh a Geordie! Nice’ she said smiling enjoying her drink. Why didn’t I suggest something else? Something that took longer than a cup of coffee? Stupid Perrie!
‘Yeah sorry about the accent’ I said laughing. ‘I like it, it’s cute’ she said, looking away smiling again, god it was cute when she did that. She also had put the most amazing lipstick on, like seriously, I really wanted to kiss her but I resisted the temptation. After about an hour we left. ‘Wow your nails are cool’ she said as I let go of the door on the way out. She took my hand to look at them, ‘Thanks’ I blushed, getting nervous from her touch. It didn’t last long though she let it got seconds later. I missed her hand against mine.
It was freezing but luckily the rain from this morning had subsided. I noticed Leigh-Anne shivering beside me. Obviously in her rush this morning she forget to bring a jacket. I took off mine and placed it around her shoulders, ‘You look freezing’ I said as I placed it on her. ‘You don’t have to give me your jacket it’s fine you’ll get cold’ she replied. ‘It’s ok I’ve a heaving jumper on I’ll be ok’. She smiled at me, wow, the urge to kiss her came again, no Perrie! Don’t creep her out. ‘Thank you’ she said. Her hand hitting off mine, instantly I grabbed it, not even thinking I looked at her nervously, maybe she wasn’t the hand holding type? But I could see a smile emerge on her face.
A while later we were back at her flat, I decided to walk her home since I had a jacket and she didn’t. Although it was dark now and I had to admit I hated walking on my own in the dark, but she was worth it. She stood at her door and smiled, ‘I had a really good time, I was so nervous earlier’. Aww, I though, ‘Me too! You had no reason to be nervous I’m not the queen’. She laughed and there it was again, that smile those lips, this time I couldn’t control myself and before I knew it my lips where on hers and she was kissing back.
